rukio 8924 Share Posted September 9, 2017 It was a normal day for Hagbard, he woke up in his room, he scratched his scruffy beard swinging his legs over his low to the ground bed. Reaching one hand up he’d scratch at his beard. After waking up he’d walk outside the Grand hall, Jorik and Jory the two Ruric brothers sparring outside, the sun was shining. However the last barkeep had recently quit so he made his way to Adelburg for his pint of ale. Grouchy and still tired from waking up Hagbard stumbled down the Orenian road and into the gates of Adelburg, gates closed Hagbard already knew the drill, he started giving them his nickname his fellow Ashguard had given “Names Cipher, I’m goin’ to the tav-” he was cut off by the Lord Guillame “You picked the wrong city, friend. Armor up men.” Before Hagbard could react a crossbow was lifted in his direction, the gate rattled as it was drawn open the Savoyards charged putting a axe into the man's head, ending his life. The last thought to cross his mind was of the beautiful lass he had never truly gotten to know, but had hoped to court and some day marry. The lovely Signe, though she would find a rose laid upon her favorite place to rest, the first and last declaration of the simply spoken man's love. Hagbards fellow Norlanders had been waiting outside the gate, by foot the men ran word would soon reach Norland, Oren had slaughtered a Ashguard in the gatehouse, who knows how many else had died and the Norlanders not found out about. At the news of Hagbard Bach's death, Dirty Mike would begin a melancholy chant of the above song, the true Norlandic theme song. Hagbard Bach did indeed pick the wrong city, friends.
