rukio 8924 Share Posted October 19, 2017 ((Forgive how rough this is, most of it was just typed as the roleplay occurred.)) Amaryllis knew she would die from the moment she saw her next to-be victim. She'd never be able to explain how she knew it was a bad idea to attack Eryn Serene, but still, she ignored the gut feeling and had attempted to tackle him. It had failed and he'd bound her, he and his friend taking her to be interrogated. "I claim the hand." The friend had stated. They'd carried her away to Ponce's jail, to interrogate her. Upon searching her, they'd found no weapons. "Seems they didn't come intending to fight. Perhaps we could see why they attacked me." Eryn had said as he strapped her to a chair. "I don't fight with weapons." Amaryllis had retorted. "I thought I knocked you out, Rolien if you would be kind as to finish up with the restraints." Eryn had replied. Fully restrained, Amaryllis realized more and more that she wouldn't be escaping this time. Thoughts of her friends and family, everyone she'd abandoned came back to her for a moment. She couldn't help but laugh. How futile everything had been. "Why? I can just stare into her eyes. Graven, remember." The friend of Eryn had replied. "Oh, would you mind doing that while I finish strapping them down?" Eryn had said in response. Amaryllis simply sat there, silently having accepted her fate. She looked to the graven, grinding her teeth as she always did when angry. "What do you want with me, Eryn?" She asked quietly. "I want to know, why it seems you people are fascinated in constantly hurting me." Eryn stated. "Because you're a traitor Eryn." Amaryllis replied as the graven grabbed her head. "Do wish I'd succeeded though." She mused, lost in thought for a few brief moments. "I'm a traitor to whom, I told Jevan that I need time to decide, on my decisions, and what do I found out that I am still being hunted down constantly looking over my shoulder." Eryn responded. "Ah, tis going to be fun. I wonder what you'll see in that little pretty elven mind of yours." The graven said, not yet looking into Amaryllis' eyes. "You can't be friends with both sides. learned that myself a long time ago." She replied, looking to eryn for a moment before glancing back to the graven. "Hopefully not your ugly face." The graven laughed. "Ha! Good one but no, you'll see some quite worse tis your worst nightmares with mental impacts to even can make anyone go mad or even well try kill ther selfs over it sometimes. So, Eryn should I?" ((Honestly not even edited spelling from the roleplay)) "I don't even know you or have I ever done anything to you, all you have done is attack me and my family why would I ever align myself with you traightors." ((Also how they spelled it lamo)) Eryn paced over to the tools and inspected them. Amaryllis replied with a shrug and a cough, then cleared her throat. "Unfortunately for you, I never talk." "He, let's see then yes?" The graven said eagerly. Lowering her voice, Amaryllis replied. "Aye, let's see." Eryn picked up a sharp looking scapling, inspected it. "You know everyone I have ever had a talk with always says that, and they always end up talking in the end." "Guess there's a first for everything." Amaryllis replied, the graven moving to look into her eyes, and she did not resist. "Eryn, what are you doing?" Ethel had entered the room. "I would like an answer." She said, though it was more a demand than a statement. "I'm getting some information and blowing off a bit of pent up anger at the same time, why is there a problem." Eryn replied, looking at Ethel, who twitched for a moment before responding. "Aye . . . sure go ahead I guess . . ." And then Amaryllis knew her fate was sealed. Hope is a powerful thing, the hope that her first adoptive parents would return some day from their "adventures". The hope her adoptive sister would too. The hopes that he wasn't really dead. The hopes Aureas still walked the world. The hopes that the second hadn't died in that war. The hope her second adoptive mom would beat the cancer, or that the second adoptive father wouldn't die to be with her. The hope of being a good mom. All hopes and all pointless. Images of Nivan and Dania floated through her head, Aluatis and Aureas did too, though Aureas was but a blur, over 200 years had passed since she'd seen him last. All hanging from the Ash tree. A memory of her birth mother's severed head appeared, then a memory of the spider she'd tried to tame. Then finally, an image of her twin children who she’d always said she’d live for. This memory, however, was happy, of them playing safely in Sutica. She knew no matter her fate, her children would be safe. She never broke her gaze from the graven. "You don't think I don't see their faces, and some of their bodies hanging every day?" She asked softly. "Hmm. Sounds like a hard life huh. Well a gaze different for each person every time. Maybe before die. I'll do another, yes?" The graven said. "Your idea of hell is what I've already experienced. They're all dead." The graven shackled her head. "Fair enough." "So do your worst, I suppose." She resisted nothing. The thoughts of everyone who had died, in truth, had done all they needed to. Yet the graven backed off, allowing Eryn his torture. "Lets start simple. A name would be nice." Eryn said. "And a name you won't get. Where will you cut first, I wonder. The hou'zi burned my feet, the orcs broke my shoulder." She tried to sound brave, but in truth she was terrified. And thus her finger was cut off. "A name, it really isn't hard." Eryn tried to persuade her as he dug the knife into the next finger. Amaryllis trembled from the pain, closing her eyes trying to block it out. "Won't get it." She states as Ethel stepped forward, the second finger being severed. "Eryn, is this really needed?" It was then she blacked out, the pain too much for Amaryllis to bear. She was not to wake up, a bottle of bubbling death being poured down her throat by Eryn. An unfortunate end for an unfortunate character. A death of the young Lily Wolf turned Selothan turned Mournstone, who went into hiding and renamed herself Amaryllis Noctuid. “God knows; I am careless; this is my true hour of death, and what is to follow concerns another than myself. Here then, as I lay down the pen and proceed to seal up my confession, I bring the life of that unhappy Henry Jekyll to an end.” -Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde If one were to look through her old hiding spot, they would find a stack of notes: To Aaron: I know I’ll never be able to explain why I left, or what happened to your father now. In truth, I wish I’d been a better mother to you than my parents had been to me. They died when I was your age, but I hope you will find solace with your grandfather, Hareven. You were always in my heart. I know someday you will excel at whatever you do. Whatever my fate was, I hope yours will be happier. To Hareven: I wanted to thank you for being a parent I never had. For everything you did for me, and I wish I had done more and been better. I’ll never be able to make it up to the boys, and I’ve no right to ask anything of you, but please raise them as you helped raise me. I know Aaron wondered where his father went, but please, I beg of you, keep our secret. I’m not sure how I will die, but I wrote this in the hope that, should I disappear, you will know and not wonder where I have gone, as you did with Aluatis. To Ethel: Thank you, oldest friend, for being around when I needed you. I’m sorry we could not spend more time together, I hope you find someone who makes you happier than Diligence did. Perhaps in the next life we’ll see each other again. To Jualia: Thank you for being a friend. Travel down the road and back again. Your heart is true, you're a pal and a confidant. And if you threw a party, invited everyone you knew. You would see the biggest gift would be from me and the card attached would say, thank you for being a friend. *the next notes are older, at the bottom of the stack, as though age has faded them well. An observant person would note the difference in the handwriting as well* To Aureas: *the handwriting is different, the paper is faded* I sought you out, it has been so long since we last spoke, I had still hoped you were alive. I didn't want to be the one to forget. There are so many things that I don't understand. And it was you the one that would be breaking my heart When you decided to walk away. When I wanted you to stay. But I understand now. You, a White Rose, and myself, a Shield, it would never have worked out. Our son grew up strong though, you would be proud of him. I named him Jay, because his hair reminded me of a blue jay. He had your face though, and your personality. If only. To Doone: You’re long gone, but I will always wonder why you had to out him. He tried to save your life, and in your last moments you gave his cover away. I almost lost my own life, saving his. I will never be able to truly forgive you for that, but thank you for helping raise me. Perhaps we’ll see each other after death, perhaps not. I hope you’re happy wherever the afterlife took you. To Arzota: My oldest and dearest friend. I hope you are well. I’ve nothing else to say. I just hope you’re alive and well. Perhaps someday we’ll be Elysians once more together, serving under the Hightowers. *several other letters lay here as well, but the handwriting has faded beyond being legible* (Might be a PK, might be a gone-missing post. Who knows. Well, I know. I know very well.)

Its_Just_Leap 399 Share Posted October 19, 2017 Ethel Serene sits alone in Castle Thornwood as the rangers move out all of their belongings to search for a new home, the note from Lily in her hand. She would be visibly shaking and sobbing as the shocking realization that her best friend was truly gone and would possibly never return, she mutters to herself "I'm sorry I couldn't help you. . . I didn't do enough to stop your pain. You deserved much more."
someome 2053 Share Posted October 19, 2017 Hareven would peek into a small nook, somewhere long since unused, looking for his daughter, and find his letter. He'd carefully read over it again and again, before clutching it and dropping to a knee, an expression of rage and sorrow overcasting the dwarfs face. He'd stand, and wipe his face, stepping out of the old fort and walking off with a large, auburn ker'wolf, a task at hand."Ah lost you, little flower, but I will not lose ye younglins..." He'd turn his head to Silas, putting a hand to the wolfs snout "Let's get Viltaren...we 'ave a job to do, a seed t' save so the world does nae forget m' lil flowers work..." Raomir 1855 Share Posted October 19, 2017 Verthaik Frostbeard II would be sitting in his office, looking up at a nearby wall with a series of paintings attached to it. With a smile he would reach for one of the paintings. Chuckling he would hold it in his hands as a tear rolled down his cheek.
