War Update

Good evening everyone,

As promised, I am here with an update on tomorrow’s battle. Please read the prior post first.

If you’re fighting with the Frostbeards, you’ll find the warp to the war zone at Kaz’Ulrah. If you’re fighting with the Urguan side, the warp will be at Kal’Omith.

Be there before 3pm EST.

Here is the battleground.

Spoiler

please excuse the crude drawing, it was done quickly :)

As a preface to this colossal war, it will contain a minimum of 4 war claims, regardless of which way it goes. In all numbers, stakes, investment—this war is decisive. All stops are out.

We will be holding battles weekly (each Saturday) for this war. (For at least 4 weeks).

All of you who have waited to get some hands-on combat now have a chance to do so this war claim. There will be no delays.

During negotiations, it was established that this battle could have no caps on either side. In addition, I cannot consider troop movements due to the special circumstances of this war. I must ensure that it concludes before map release, and as well that all forces can attend the battle this Saturday (as established with prior war leads). With the size of the battle, we expect there will be lag. (I won't delay this war for waiting until the War Server is setup)

This has rendered the battleground and war path illogical. Any further war declarations will need to follow proper regulations—but this one must get moving.

As a note, if the Frostbeard side loses the first war planning the next 3 will be a bit awkward—I’ll figure it out just fine though.

It's time to roll out the war machines. (If you've got questions ask your representatives for the war, they've got the information regarding war path and etc.)

why does this war get its own special set of rules

Typically, I would like to avoid this. But this war became special when it was delayed several weeks and about 5 war team leads resigned over the duration. As I was required to get involved as an administrator (which we typically don't have), I must use the full extent of my power to define the best set of rules regarding this war in the time I have allotted (less than a couple days to do all this).

If you check out the map, there is very little distance between Kaz'Ulrah and the location of the battle.

This is not the same battle (that one was canceled), and the Haense fort is blocked out of the claim (AKA it's not switched to Haense). The first skirmish must be done on an open terrain as per the War Rules, and I picked this one.

I've got to head to bed now but I'll take a look at this thread once I'm awake.

So why does it take 4 warclaims in order to actually siege it?

If you actually focused the server on actual RP rather than nexus grinding and PvP, you wouldn't have anywhere near this level of drama in warclaims. Just some advice for you.

tbf i don't think people's main concern is their gear when they're risking their nations being wiped out.

Can't avoid it. It may be difficult to play during the first bit until a number of combatants are killed.

Moved to The Great Library. It shall be sorted into the appropriate category shortly.

If you feel this is a mistake, please contact myself or any FM and we'll restore it.
