~*~ January Monthly Update Log ~*~

 

Greetings, and we hope you’ve had a great start to 2018 so far. Before we start, we’d like to take some time to thank the Admins and Developers for taking the time to create the new application format which has been in place since the start of February. We’ve enjoyed working alongside them to ensure applicants feel supported when applying for the server, and hope to see some positive results at the end of the month when the system was reviewed! As usual, we’d like to encourage you to apply for the team if you feel as if you would make a great Application Team Member. Enjoy!

 

New Player Data

 

As per usual, the most common race applied for were the Humans, taking 40.4% of applications, shortly followed by Elves with 35.4%, and then Dwarves with 13.1%. Similarly, to last month, most players chose to apply as a non-specific subrace, aside from Elves with most players applying as wood elves.

 

 

Minecraft Names and Races

 

This month, only 26.4% of our applications were denied, meaning that around we welcome 108 new players onto the server, as 74% of our applicants were accepted! This is slightly lower than December and November, but may be due to people returning to school etc.

 

Like usual the majority of our applicants applied from American time zones (67%), with Europe coming in second (28%), and the remaining apps from Oceania.

 

Member Alterations

We have had no one leave, however we have had the additions of Torkoal_Tom and Cosmetology!

 

Team Data

With Jandy stepping up to manager, his coveted position as King of applications has been contested, and claimed by TTwestern! Congratulations on completing the most applications throughout January. TT was closely followed by Britt, and then GoldenSaint. Thank you to all our team members for their continued hard work throughout January, and we hope this continues in February.

 

Additional Information

With the map change, At projects have been put on hold for time being, with the exception of the renewal of the Tailors Guild, which will be run by AT manager Jandy since Vaynth’s step down from her positions.

As well as this, we have implemented a new application system in time for February, which aims to simplify the application process in order to encourage more players to apply and to get stuck in with the server! It will offer the AT a better chance to interact and guide new players about LOTC.

I’m happy to see the variety in races people apply as now! No longer are 70% of new players just humans, there’s more elves and dwarves and still the occasional Orc, Kha, or Halfling! Good job with this all, I am very proud!
