Hello everyone,

 

Over the past few weeks we have been working on altering the way that lockpicking on the server works. Along with the GM team, I am happy to say that you no longer will you require to make a /modreq to break down doors. You can simply type /lockpick (or /smash, /door, /breakdown, /break).

Note that the sounds and the command are in-character, and if you hear the sound, you hear them lockpicking!

 

The odds for the rolls are the same as what is outlined in the rules:

This plugin works on all doors, trapdoors, and fence gates. For the time being it does not work on signs or windows, but this may be added in the future. You can still make a /modreq to break locked signs and windows. Locked chests still may not be broken into.

 

Further, this plugin will be the standard for lockpicking during raids, suspending this rule for 4 weeks, after which community feedback will be gathered:

What if you jam the door with a pick but you want to, I dunno, say there was a conviently placed ballistia or something that we could try breaking it down that way, howll that work? (Unless I missed part of the post and I'm dumb)

Is there a limit on how many doors you can lockpick a day/during a raid, for example?

No, the limiting factor is the 1/3 chance that the door will jam.

wait so when you say the rule was suspended does that mean infinite rolls or infinite attempts

Automation is always good. Is there a chat indicator for the result of the internal roll? Or does it just say you failed/succeeded?
