MAKE AN ORC WEEK!

Hello! My name is Brazilianski, IGN L1L_PLugg13 and I’m here to make an invitation…

MAKE AN ORC WEEK!

Version 94237649236423

This invitation is all about trying to charm you into making an Orc or Goblin, and since Ologs are getting put into creature applications, I can’t really encourage to make one as avidly as orcs and goblins.

WHY SHOULD I PLAY AN ORC, BRAZ?

REASON 1)

CULTURE

There will be some people who’ll try to sell orcs out as a PvP warmongering nation who’s primary goal is to make your life hell. I won’t deny our ableness to PvP or always being willing to choose PvP over CRP, but I can assure you, that, and quoting wolfkite1; ‘the orcs are the most in-depth race in the server’.

And that is true! Orcs have arguably the most extensive pages of lore for the littlest of things, and Shamanism is one of the magics with the most dedicated players out there and one of the magics that has the best lore.

The Spirits, and praising them, sacrifices and warpaints, scars, whatever orcs may seem fit also play in a big part of the culture. Player-driven events using shamanism or simply snatching something (or someone) for a sacrifice to provide activity is not uncommon, and you may be dragged into making a sacrifice yourself.

But there’s one thing that plays a gigantic part in orcish culture and roleplay. HONOR. Honor is one of the main principles of orcish roleplay and doing something that they deem dishonorable is also a big part. Upholding honor, a code, is a good thing to have in this community and you’ll be valued, respected and hailed as an example if you do. Protect those weaker than you, your ‘bruddahz’.

REASON 2)

BLAH

Blah is unique. Blah is fun. Blah is hard. If you’re wandering ‘what the hell is blah’, I’ll give you a quick sum up. Orcs have big tusks, but they still speak common (Old Blah, or Old Language is the language of the Spirits and only Shamans speak it) but their tusks prevents them from speaking properly. What does that mean?

A human will talk to you like this:

“Hello, good friend, how are you doing? Ain’t this a fine day?”

An orc will address you like this, because of the tusks:

“Ug, mi bruddah, huw am latz duin? Ain’ diz ah fyne dey?”

You might be wondering what ‘ug’ and ‘latz’ mean, and this link (https://wikia.lordofthecraft.net/index.php?title=Blah) may just do the trick. Blah is basically broken common. You replace your ‘s’ for ‘z’, sometimes replace a ‘c’ with a ‘k’. For example:

Horse = Horze

Cooking = Kookin’

Chaste = Chazte (the C is maintained to preserve the context and sense of the word).

IF YOU NEED ANY HELP IN BLAH, CONTACT ME IN GAME (L1L_PLugg13).

It’s two simple reasons. I’m humble and a bit tired, and this is just a small post I’ve mustered. Thanks for reading.

As the current Rex of Krugmar, me, Brazilianski and many of my other loyal friends amongst the Orcs have made a massive push to centralize ourselves around RP again, and to enrich Orcish culture.  Our playerbase has also followed along in our focus, making strides to remove toxicity and bringing as much of our conversations to RP as possible.  As a former Human for many years, I can honestly say that being an Orc is not only great RP, but an amazing lifestyle to lose yourself in. +1

I can attest to this. My time on LoTC has primarily been spent playing humans and dwarves, always irrationally afraid of Orcs and Orc culture. Since my recent return I have dove headfirst into Orc lore and culture and have been amazed by it. There are many intricacies to learn, just be prepared to be confused as **** by blah at first.

I might shelve my current human and try and Orc for a little bit, although I cannot promise much since the halflings of Dunshire rely on me being able to plan events and crud.

I loved playing my Lak under Wud's Rexdoom, it is certainly something unique and very interesting.
