The Huangdi of the Jade republic would sit in the temple of Hou-Shen, meditating as he would be approached by a courier. ”Ni Hao, Xiongdi, Why does this one come to Xin today? another teaching?” He would ask, the hou letting out a slight grin as he would breath in the wonderful Cinnamon incense. the Courier would shake his head ”No, Xiongdi. Cannonist Bian Lian have declared us abominations, and have spat on our history” the couriers face distorted, he would hold out a scroll to the still meditating Huangdi. Xin would not open his eyes, letting out a small chuckle ”Xiongdi, when have the Bian Lian not said these things? It is their way to act as though they are superior, in order to account for their lack of fulfillment in life” He would sigh, his form easing as he would open his eyes, and lay his hands on his lap. he would raise a eyebrow, as the courier would say It is of Llyria, Xiongdi, and of the Hou, Hou-Xun. they speak atrocites of him, which we know to be false” the hous face would continue to distort, as a look of unease would also cross Xins face. The Huangdi would sigh, looking to him ”Bring Xin a scroll, he must announce something, for the only way our voice is to be heard is for us to speak in a way for all to hear” The Hou would bring Xin a scroll, and Xin would quickly begin to write, before sending the letter to be posted in the far reaches of the realm

To the Faithful of Hou-Shen

We are not ones to fear when we are oppressed. There have been many who seek to hunt us, either for our beliefs or our pelts, yet we have not faltered. The Hou-Zi are a race that is strong and wise, and we shall remain so.

We are not ones to abandon our kin, we shall not leave Hou-Xun to be scrutinized for the lies of those who seek to blaspheme his name.

We are not ones to be disheartened. though we are few, compared to the number of man, our souls are stronger then theirs, we are a people with the blessings of our ancestors, and though the Bian Lian may seek to dishearten us with their cries of Hate and Suffering, we will stand true to our beliefs, of prosperity and enlightenment. so it shall be, so long as the spirits of joy guide our path.

To the Empyrion of Llyria

Do not believe the lies of those around you, Xin has only known Xun to be a faithful friend of this one. the Monks of their Order are nothing but loyal and strong folk, who seek to increase their understanding of the world around them. They are a good ally, and this one would regret them leaving your side.

Remember that the monks true goal is simply to be at peace with the chi of the world around them. It is not a foul practice, nor is it corruption of anything, rather, it is the matching of ones soul to the world around it, in order to be more attuned to life itself. is this not something to be celebrated, instead of feared? Do not fear what you do not simply understand, instead, embrace it.

The snakes in the grass are not so easily pleased, though what you have done for the church may please them now, do not forget the things they have done, or will do, for power.

To the Cannonist Church, and its followers

The Hou are not your enemy, contrary, for many cycles of the moons the Hou have fought against the very same deamons you have, in many wars Hou have fought along side your people, and even Xin myself has lived in your cities before. Do not judge so easily when you do not understand what we are. Xin has the same soul as you, and wishes that you would see your error in this way.

the Monks of the Order, they do not seek to wage war or place themselves above any `god`. they seek only peace with themselves, and with the chi of the world around them. this is no magic, rather, the enhanced abilities of a person who has achieved true balance within themselves, surely something we all seek.

Xin is suprised this one is worried of the monks elitism.  He has seen the way the Church acts, the way it pretends to be above all others, in order to manipulate its followers with promises of riches in the next life, and glory. The monks do little to pretend they are above anyone, they are stalwart and simply seek to improve themselves, a noble goal, and perhaps one the church should follow more. For the followers of the Cannonist way, Xin does not fault you for the actions of the one priest, Cassian, rather, He hopes that these ones will see the fault he has made, and condemn him for it.

Remain Stalwart, Those of the blood of the Almighty Hou-Shen
Remain Attentive, those who find refuge in Llyria
Become kind, those who claim the name of peace in their religion of Cannonism, yet seek to attack us with their foul words.

-Huangdi Hsieh-Xin, of the Jade republic of New Jing-Taiyun

Xiahou lit a candle by the hut’s bedside, in memorial of his lost friend. “Xiahou remembers his friend, the leader of the West Lands. Hunting elves together... a shame he is no longer with us.”

An actual demon responds, "Powerful warriors are the chi monks. Better to have them your allies than enemies. I condemn Cassian’s actions, and do not support them.”

“Not all of Llyria see monks as the threats many make them out to be and they can see through the lies and slander thrown at them,” Elvira murmured to herself, releasing a sigh of relief that the monks are sticking up for themselves but taking a peaceful approach. “Us that do not agree with what was written know that the Monks are warriors who serve a noble goal and fight for what is worth fighting for, for family, for friends, for those who cannot defend themselves. I am immensely ashamed and disgusted of many members of Llyria for their treatment of Magnus and of the Monks purely because of the strength they bear and because their beliefs do not seem right to them. Anyone can do harm with the powers they bear, but it depends on the intentions of the people who wield it that determines if its used for good or evil. Such is what Master Meta El Solaray taught me when I studied the Flowing Sun Martial Arts under him...”

The woman then leaned back, frowning sharply. “I pray and I hope a few of the other Llyrian council members will agree that what Father Cassian wrote was out of proportion. He judges a group of many for the actions of one, even though Magnus explained himself with a burning honesty. Yet given we did not discuss on this matter after the trial – and Father Cassian even went as far as to make a verdict without consulting myself or any other council members who stood as part of the judges.... the man has lost my respect. He may bear a higher rank but that does not mean he should act as though he can do anything he wants. A council works together as one, not a small group with no voice below one man who acts he speaks for all... I pray this situation is quelled peacefully before it escalates.”

Hou-Xun sits in the lands of the Hou-zi now. He would be surrounded by his people and students as well as acolytes from the other schools of Crane, Moon, and Turtle. A smile broke upon his face for a moment. “It is us, or the church man. The choice is now present but for now we drink tea and wait. Thank all for supporting truths and standing by my side. Xun is happy to be home.”
