7th of Harren’s Folley, 1728

As the Sun Begun it’s descension into the earth, Ser Bjolfr Nord-Novaeux would lay comfortably in his Avalain home. His Beloved Wife Dame Klaudia Novaeux would hold his hand tightly with tears in her eyes, next to her would be their 2 grandchildren Rhys and Cathryn. As the Old Knight laid dying he would mutter a few words.

“Klaudia, My love” he’d grips her hand slightly “Though my time here is over. I will still be with you for our souls are united” He’d smile bringing his hand up to her cheek before turning his attention to his grandchildren.

“Rhys Marius Nord” he’d call out to grandson “You are named after a Lord Marshal and a King of Haense, both of whom gave their lives for their nation. I’ve made arrangements for you to squire under Ser Nikolaus of Haense, I trust that you will do me well. Lastly I entrust you with our family Heirloom Kral’ja Heij. Wulffrey Skarpefanger gave me it himself, it has been at my side since we sieged Nekristadt against the Red Vaeyl.” He’d then turn to his Granddaughter

“Cathryn, my sweet girl. Keep your grandmother company, learn everything she knows for she is the smartest person I know” he’d chuckle before relaxing once more in his bed.

Bjolfr would close his eyes for the last time with a smile on his face.

Klaudia stands at the window in her bedroom. Eyes glassed over and puffy from the long night of sorrow she had endured. The elder woman would keep her gaze fixated on her two grandchildren below as they played in the backside garden.

For what seemed like years she stood there, watching until finally, the children seemed to notice their grandmother’s figure in the window.

Taking in a deep breath and with the help of her cane she muttered “ . . . They are all I have left”.

Leaving the window's edge, the widow would make her way down to the garden to enjoy what time she herself had left with her family.

“Well ****” muttered Matthias when he finally heard. He sighed and wrote down Bjolfr’s name in a journal.

“Uncle Bjolfr is gone.. Who else is going to test my allergies now?”

Ser Nikolaus Kortrevich would soon feel an overwhelming sense of sadness as he discovered the passing of Ser Nord.

He would then recite a segment apart of the oath that Bjolfr took and sworn upon along with quoting a tenet and doctrine that he swore to uphold:

“The truth is the burden of all knights, one that only the diligent may bear. Will you be true in all things, even if it may lead to your own demise?”

“To remain true to your blood, and to the land you’ve grown upon.”

“Ser Bjolfr was true in all things as every knight aspires to be and throughout his long tenured service to the Kingdom of Hanseti-Ruska he proved that to all until his last breath. Despite baring the illness of post-traumatic stress disorder later in life he fervently continued serving and defending the kingdom he loved ever so dearly in any which way he was capable of executing. While some might not share the trait to remain true to your blood and to your homeland, Ser Nord without out a doubt remembered his heritage along with his home that he was born to. Although he has passed, in memory his discipline, loyalty and overall respect will be remembered to be unquestioned. I pray that GOD may lead you to a state of eternal tranquility where you may look upon your family and friends and guide them to relative peace and happiness. I trust that your grandson Rhys will uphold the great honor that you yourself instilled throughout your exceptional service to Haense.”

Primrose lights a candle and places it out on her balcony in Graiswald. “I’ll care for your grandchildren as you cared for me. Rest well, Ser Bjolfr.” she says, looking out toward the ascending moon.

“Though I only met him a few times, I could tell he was a good, honorable man,” Menev would say after hearing of Bjolfr’s passing. “May he rest in the Seven Skies.”
