Edlyn’s Request

Issued Winter of 1740 by Eleanor I

It is with great concern I find myself addressing the esteemed citizens of Montburgh. Today, my daughter Edlyn and I come to you, our people, with a cry for help.

[!] Below is Edlyn’s handwriting, in crayon, on each and every missive pinned around the city. [!]

My daughter’s dearest companion, Noodle, has either gone missing or has been taken from her sweet hands. It is of the utmost importance that her pet is found speedily, as she grows more upset by the hour.

Noodle is a relatively young ragdoll breed, with striking blue eyes and a white coat with grey accents on his paws, ears, and nose. He is kind-natured, and will respond should his name be called. I am offering a reward of 20 Nordish Marks and One Tax-Free Year to whoever returns dear Noodle to my daughter’s arms.

Writ en Namen De

HER GRACE, Eleanor I Edvardsson, Duchess of Morsgrad, Grand Burgess of Montburgh

THE HIGH LADY OF MONTBURGH, Edlyn of Edvardsson

Edlyn can be seen wandering about the town’s center, pulling upon the sleeves of those passing by. Have you seen Noodle, mister? Please help me find Noodle.” There was a sad, frantic look about the young girl as she pleaded with the citizens to find her beloved cat.

Ratcliffe rubs the back of his head, recalling that he threw the cat off the mountainside while Eleanor stood by watching, a few elven days ago.
