A letter [PK]

[ ! ] Due to the sudden disappearance of the Jewelry Merchant in Rosebud Market, the property was cleared out. It seemed she had vanished without bothering to pack, though the woman’s loyal canine was not present either. Through the process, a steward discovered a letter, that of which had been wax-sealed shut and stuck to the wall. This steward, though knowing not to pry, took a moment to read the carefully folded document. The contents have since been transcribed for all to read, a message from the merchant to the populous.

A letter to the people of Reza, and all those who have visited,

For nearly thirty years I have lived here, in this strange and yet beautiful city. I am but a merchant, but it has been grand to watch time pass by in a place such as this. I have watched a generation and a half grow up, and find themselves at peace. I have seen a great king come and go, and watched brilliant young minds flourish. The people in this city have accepted me as I am, without second thought or judgement, and given me such respect that I can only hope to return.

My time in Reza has been wonderful, and I wish to say a thank you to all who have treated me with kindness. To experience what I have seen is a gift, and one I have enjoyed thoroughly. Despite times where I have felt enclosed, I know that the city of Reza is one where all can find friendship. I have found it to be my turn to grow old now, a few fleeting years to still enjoy the comforts of this city.

I have loved all the time I have spent here. May the kingdom of Haense continue to thrive as it always has, along with all its lovely people.

With much sincerity, Isla. (Though Paisley as many of you know me.)

Philip has never heard of this woman, but feels for the loss his fellow countrymen and women are enduring. He sends a courier to deliver a bouquet of flowers, freshly picked from the Albarosa Gardens, to be placed at the stall in remembrance.

*Would think back to good memories* "Hmpf, she was a good jeweler" *he'd say as he'd hold his wife's engagement ring with a soft smile*
