A Young Araminta d’Emyth with her favorite pet

[CIRCA 1799]

The young child of only ten winters frolicked around the d’Emyth estate in Providence, excited as any child could be about their new surroundings. Whilst her siblings were with their Tudor, Araminta Elouise stayed outside playing and dancing around the luxurious gardens and scenery with her loyal companion that was her pet cat Molly. She tossed a ball towards her pet, watching with pure joy as the feline leaped up repeatedly, again and again.  Squeak! The ball dropped towards the cool grass as the cat immediately flicked up her ears, quickly pouncing after a small bunny that ran across the lawn, and outwards to the city streets.  “Molly- wait!” the girl shouts,  moving off of the neatly cut grass, running towards her precious feline as quick as a child of her stature could.

The girl stops for a moment, cursing under her breath as she watches Molly chase the rabbit out of Providence. She had been repeatedly warned about the dangers of the roads by her family, of how the dangerous bandits had already claimed a deadly steak on the roads. Her older sister and role model, Vespira had told her about the horrors that they had done to children. “They will cook you into stew, Araminta!” she warned one night. Araminta suddenly snapped out of her thoughts, taking a step out of the gates, toward the road.  Nobody will know, Araminta She thought to herself as she sprinted to hereocially save her cat. “Yes, it’ll be all okay,” she reassured herself , however quickly getting lost in the vast greenery that was Amaris.

Eventually, the girl decided to trek back to her home, her pale face streaked in dirt ,  grime and tears. Araminta sniffled as she sauntered on the dirt roads, having failed in her mission, hanging her head low and unaware.  “Well, well well.” A voice boomed maliciously from behind, laughing as the girl freezes up in paralyzing fear. She silently prayed to GOD, slowly turning around to face her doom. She was never seen again.

As the day past, and people quickly became aware of Araminta's disappearance, young Elijah Alexander d'Emyth would lie awake at night, assuring himself she would be found soon, and that she was safe somewhere... Elijah would spend weeks wondering such things, and as weeks turned to months, and months to years, he'd soon realize she was not returning, and that he will see her again only in his dreams.

The young d'Emyth reads over the missive with a sigh. After the recent events and the confession of Emma Elaine, Vespira d'Emyth doesn't have much to say about the topic. Nor does she think much about it. As of recent she has grown to be more and more like her father, she has become distant from her family and only really speaks with one or two friends regularly. One, Vespira d'Emyth, is broken.

Alexander Leopold d'Emyth would sit in his office, going about paperwork and such, completely oblivious to the fact that his one of many children had gone missing. One could only imagine his melodramatic response to hearing such news.

Henry d'Emyth beckoned the youth toward him as he'd grip onto the steer of his boat, lips splayed into a mighty grin as he'd pivot a hat atop the girls skull, urging her to take the wheel. The grandfather bellowed out in laughter as he'd embrace his granddaughter shortly after within the seven-skies. Sorrowful one of his many grandchildren had joined him far too early akin to his beloved Leana Stafyr - yet - he was content to no longer be alone.
