Charles Augustus d'Arkent would reach the door of his office, giving himself a slight nod as he walked inside. He'd take a deep breath at first, looking about as he hesitated a moment. Seating himself behind the desk, he'd smile, adjusting his posture. "Time to work."

"Dima!" A rather youthful Carrion rushed through the halls of the Rosebud Manor, with a missive in her scrawny hands. In the other, she carried a rose. Milena Ipera knocked twice on the door to her brother's room before peeking her head inside then held out two items for her brother; both the Palace Court Hierarchy parchment and a red rose. "Did you see how many people work in the palace?"

Dima blinked twice at his sister's hands which contained the parchment and the red rose. His mind was completely out of it by the time she entered his room; he was exhausted, yet he continued working on some short story that faded in and out of his head. The older Carrion (older being roughly ten years his sister's senior) peered behind himself to see his wife peacefully reading one of her thousand books he had gifted her and decided he would entertain his sister as long as the room was awake. Dima lifted up his sister onto his lap, moved aside his writings and placed down both the flower and the document on the desk. "The only one I know is the Elmpool from when I was younger--- but I think we also spoke with him together a few months back?" he said as read through the document under candlelight, giving an overabundance of space for his flowerly gift at the corner of the table. Though he forgot to thank her for it, in his heart he hoped the red rose would live a long and beautiful life on his desk.
