A Norlandic Tea Party

You are cordially invited to a tea party, hosted by Analiesa Hervor De Astrea. Tea will be served, as is customary, as well as snacks. Dolls are highly encouraged to be brought, though they will be provided if you have forgotten to bring yours. The tea party will be held at the palace in Varhelm where a big table will be provided for seating both dolls and friends alike. Please come in proper tea party attire.

The High Keeper looked over the missive with one of her usual, unenthused sighs. "I'm sure someone will spike one of the teapots with some whiskey and make it a proper good time. I could use a good laugh." She said idly before slipping the missive under the door to her granddaughter's bedroom.

Prince Antonio smiles at the invitation, deciding that a good tea party would help get his mind off of all the Hyspian dramas. "I will most definitely be there!"

Rosalind de Astrea beams as she reviews the invitations, dictated by Ana for her to write. "Ah- she's taking after me already!"  The lady smoothes out both of their dresses and ensures their small army of dolls are quite prepared for tea!

Nicolas Barclay would pen an private letter to Analiesa Hervor de Astrea and Rosalind Amador de Astrea.

 

From His Excellency Holy Sir Nicolas, Equestor-Imperator and Praefectus Castrorum of the Supreme Order of Exalted Owyn,

 

To Analiesa Hervor de Astrea and Rosalind Amador de Astrea,

 

Greetings.

 

I hope this letter reaches you in good health and prosperity. I have heard rumor of a recent tea party to be held hosted by you in which Norlanders and several members of the Canonist Faithful are invited. I wish to alert you to the fact that, by Canon Law, these Faithful are prohibited from associating with a person who has been declared Anathema by the Church. While I am unaware if Antonio of Hyspia will be attending your party, given that he is considered a Norlander and is therefore invited, I would request that you barr him from attendance, so as not to risk the Faithful attendees associating with a man who is contrary to the promotion of virtue. I thank you graciously for your prompt review of this letter, and I hope that your party is grand and delightful.

[!] Upon the letter of a Certain Holy Sir being sent to the home of Visant, Rosalind, and Analiesa De Astrea, the parents of the five year old girl carefully read it to her, gauging her reaction with a slight sense of nervousness. Analiesa, while listening to the letter being read and explained, would have her nose scrunched up, her face tinged red. "Mama, papa, can I write a letter to Mister Nicolas?" She asked sweetly. Their response, of course, was to give in to the little girls request. With that Ana went into her room and pulled out her colorful wax pens and a piece of fresh parchment, sitting down to write her response to the Sir.

Visant de Astrea, a veteran that now has a savoyard smirk to give as he gently ruffles the hair of his oldest child, content as he stood besides his wife and beloved family. 

" His Excellency Holy Sir Nicolas, Equestor-Imperator and Praefectus Castrorum of the Supreme Order of Exalted Owyn versus Analiesa De Astrea, 5 year old girl. "

He smiles the sun's smile, and looks forward to bringing his very own childhood plushie from his dusty old closet for the tea party.

Solomon reads the note and chuckles to himself. “Well! Ive never been to a tea party before. This might be quite fun.” Picking up his needle and a spool of thread, he looks over his fabrics, selecting a few. “A doll indeed shall be brought.”

Holy Sir Nicolas looked honestly silly, not having realized he was writing to a small child. Still, the girl was so very polite in her response and, he assumed, that must have meant that her parents read and heeded his warning. He looked down at his Saint Otto Icon. The wooden figure may not be plush, but "well, it will have to do." He took out his pen.

Dear Ana,

 

Thank you very much for your letter and picture. The girl was very well drawn and I love the colors you added to it. Is that a picture of you? I will greatly enjoy this tea party and I hope your dolls and mine (his name is Saint Otto) will become good friends.
