Mannyy 982 Share Posted March 4, 2021 The Closing of a book Casper Elmpool A portrait of Casper Elmpool, Circa. 1770 The Palace Casper Hyde-Elmpool was one of three siblings when originally moving to Helena, when he was eighteen years old. One day, the young man would stumble into the Novellen Palace, where his life would be changed infinitely for the better, starting there as no more than a lowly servant. During his time serving he made many friends within the palace. Most specifically he met Anne Augusta, who would become a close friend of his, her being the person to save Casper once from an awful encounter within the church. As well as the Lady Irena Ruthern for whom he was also quite close, her knowing many of Casper's secrets... even after she left Helena for Haense. He met John Charles and Peter Maximillian whom both he watched grow from little boys, looking back onto a time when they were both the young age of fourteen. John was always so mature for his age, Casper thought, while on the other hand his brother was always getting into something. He often thinks about his mistake of introducing ‘Coffee’ to the young Peter. Whilst trapped in his office Casper looks back and realizes how, often.. They felt as if they were his own family. He would never want to leave them behind.. But it feels like he had no choice these days… The elder man looks back on his time within the Novellen as the peak of his life, as it was truly a place that felt like home to him. When Helena was collapsing Casper didn’t think much of his own house, but instead.. How much he would miss the Palace. When moving to Almaris, Casper arrived at the new palace with a small frown, glancing over its polish and prestige. He knew he would never be happy here.. Despite its beauty, it would never feel like home. Casper's home was gone. In Helena. The Bazaar Outside of his life within the Palace, Casper had a multitude of friends whom he had met at the Bazaar in Helena, when his brother, Thomas, had owned a small tea shop. The man remembers his time fishing with his friends Alicjo and So’Kotoro. He had never gone fishing before, and he wasn’t always really the toughest of men but they chose not to shame him, but to embrace him as the person he was, despite his occasional dramatics that took place in the Bazaar. He remembers meeting the Dame, Annabelle Kelmenour during a time when campaigning for his run in the House of Commons, which he wasn’t even old enough to be a part of, and was disqualified. He looks back on these times as some of the best of his life, for what more could he ask for then friends who cared. His Family Casper's family consisted of two siblings, his sister who died at a younger age, Lillith Grace Elmpool, and his brother, Thomas Aquinas Elmpool. His sister was married to Flynn Moore, whom she had a child with, Peyton. Casper’s brother, Thomas, worked alongside himself as Master of the Kitchens for many years. Thomas would not make it out of Helena in time, leaving Casper as the last of his once fruitful family. Despite these members, Casper closest person that felt like family was Goren of Johnstown, or Father Goren, who was like a father to Casper in his darkest moments. Casper confessed to Goren and Goren to Casper. Then there was Wallace, the boy whom was like Caspers son. His Relationships Despite Casper's lack of public relationship, in his youth Casper was friendly with many people. He was even engaged once before running away in an attempt to avoid having to break up with them. When it came to relationships Casper had left quite a few deaths in his past, causing some on occasion. Whilst sick in his bed, Casper stands up, penning a small letter to be found for one of his dearest friends, their name written on the top to be delivered upon finding. The letter simply read “I am sorry I never had the chance to buy you that ring. -Casper” And that was that. He sealed it up, and laid back in bed, where the old Seneschal would look back and realize that.. He was alright with what were to come next, he had lived a full life. The Last Chapter In conclusion, Casper had certainly lived the best life he could have ever dreamed of. A life filled with family, and friends, and love. He had the opportunity to meet some of the world's most influential individuals during his time in the Novellen, and got to watch everyone around him grow up, and step into their roles as functioning adults. It truly could not have been better. Spoiler Thanks (OOC) I want to say thank you to everyone who has ever bothered to rp with me. Writing this post was certainly one of the hardest things I have had to do, stopping to cry only once or twice.. Casper's journey was the best I have ever been on, and I fear my other characters will have trouble living up to such high standards set by this character. High standards created by all of you, who made the character fun to play. I want to say that everyone mentioned in this post was not only mentioned because we were rp friends, but also because you helped shape the person Casper has become, and helped me on my journey with him. While this an rp post about rp, it holds a lot of my real life emotions and opinions, my true feelings. A special thanks to everyone at the Palace, and everyone in the bazaar. You all mean so much to me, and it makes me sad that I don't communicate with you all as much as I once did, because at one point you were all so important to me that I would eagerly await being able to come home just to see you all. Even though Casper's chapter has finally come to an end, his story will stay with me forever. Thank you all.
libertyybelle 6187 Share Posted March 4, 2021 A certain ex- Baroness of Carrington in the seven skies watched with a smile as Casper entered. Raising a small wine flute to the Seneschal- she called out. "You did well, Elmpool- even if you did insult my family that one time." she'd wink jestfully before beckoning him over to dine upon nice sweets. Marilyn Monroe 362 Share Posted March 4, 2021 Stefano d'Amato stood at the gates of the Seven Skies waiting several decades for Casper, where he was throwing an emerald ring up in the air, and catching it with the same hand.
TheNunnery 1853 Share Posted March 4, 2021 "You shall be missed Mister Casper, the best boss one could have." Madame Braun commented with a sadden tone, taking a sip of tea, then she'd sign the lorraine while reading the the notice of the courtier's death. Afterwards, the maid would then walk out of her room to continue her retinue duties as a maid.
Itz_Cookie 1974 Share Posted March 4, 2021 Lillith Grace greeted her brother with a caring smile as he approached the gates of the Seven Skies. A single tear rolling down her cheek whilst a much younger girl, Payton Rose, dashed forth to pull him into a hug. Spoiler Casper, Thomas and Lillith were great sibblings and im glad I was able to play with you guys for the short time she was around ❤️
Jordan1921 373 Share Posted March 4, 2021 Calan Stahl-Elendil received the news with shock. He'd been a hermit for years now and he expected the world to be exactly the same when he finally emerges as when he left it. Upon hearing of the death of his friend, he knew that wasn't the case. Having received Casper's final letter to him, Calan clutches it firmly in his grasp and his vision blurs with tears. "I'm sorry I was not there for you Casper, at the end..." Eryane 3698 Share Posted March 4, 2021 Rarely did that retired stateswoman shed a tear, solemn-faced and stoic, yet with the news of childhood friend's passing a moiety of her was forever lost as well. For any who tried to console her she shut out, locking herself to the confines of her chamber for the rest of the evening and into the next day. She would see no one, not even her young son. As a foreigner in the imperial court at a time of some of the most high tensions between the crown and its once-vassal, Casper was one of the few people Irene Sarkozy found solace in when surrounded by strangers. She did not have her eldest sister she clung to, Viktoria, or her father who was soon to pass– and her mother remained adamant that she would only frequent the crownlands if someone forced her so. Although only a young man and servant of the imperial palace, she found a resounding amount of reliance in their discussions over black tea with honey stirred in– bickering until the early mornings over the toils of life and prudence therein; an innocence shared among the two of them both as youth. Upon her unwarranted departure from the imperial palace, there were few contrivances to cross her consciousness– Casper among them, and how she regretted leaving him behind without due notice. She had only hoped that somewhere, wherever it may be, he was at peace; her friend, companion, and confidant.
Lojo613 1882 Share Posted March 4, 2021 From distant shores a sickly man weeps for the man who was both his son and brother. “Thank you for everything” he murmurs skyward “in the end it was you who saved me.” Spoiler OOC: Thank you for the awesome RP. Casper as a character was one of the most complex and unique stories I have ever had the pleasure of being a part of. The level of rp you put into him was amazing and the experience of rping with you developed my character farther than I ever think he would have just existing in his own. It was a wild ride, and I am proud to have been part of it.
BkedBeans 12 Share Posted March 4, 2021 Wallace Reginald, who is "somewhere" , crinkles his nose at the news. The idea that the man he had looked up to as a father, who he confided in for all of his childhood woes was really gone. This didn't seem to process with him and only till Wallace was lying in his bed late one night, days after the event did he finally accept his death. "Goodbye Mr. Elmpool," He whispers under his breath. Wallace slowly turns to his side, a single tear falling as he closes his eyes for the night. zuziee 4004 Share Posted March 4, 2021 From the seven skies, Safiye, would recall the first time she met Casper and how her and Lucille had bickered with him over the proper kitchen he could use. It all seemed to silly now to her.

Goon 1614 Share Posted March 5, 2021 Spoiler Off the coast and afloat the riverbed that ran adjacent to New Esbec, Alicjo Verrana and his daughter, Verendus Verrana, sat themselves tightly into a small rower's vessel- fishing lines casted affront of them. A quiet and early morning, the sun only just beginning to crown against the visible horizon of the mountain lines. All that was heard was the droning sound of the forest critters and the creaking wood of the swaying boat- those birds who searched for their day's first meal and those cicadas who made sure that it wasn't them. The bearded Southeron man laid his pole to his flank before he reclined himself with eyes shut, legs sprawled and hands to rest atop his shaven head. Verendus, on the other hand, sat with an elbow against her knee, and a balled fist to support her pensive stare against the rippling reservoir. A bonding pastime for the two. Against the back of his lids, a memory played vividly of the time he taught the girl to hook her own worms, and then another memory crept in - the time he taught the Elmpool man the same. "Eck!" The sound of Casper's evident disgust echoed through his mind, coaxing a fish-eating grin onto the fisherman's face, accompanied by a snorted amusement. "What?" The girl called in response to his sudden chortle, turning her head sharply toward the man with a watchful squint. "Nothing." He lulled simply, eyes still shut as he moved a hand to lazily rise for a dismissive swat. The girl didn't seem to appreciate the answer so much, though she didn't press it, turning toward the line that she had sunk in the water. And the two fell into a comfortable silence once more, only broken by the chirping of the early birds. You see, Alicjo hadn't visited Providence much more these days, so perhaps it'd be another decade before he knew any better regarding his old friend and dearest customer. But all the same, those positive reflections would still bring a smile to his face, coaxing that thought to reach out to his friend once more for their ever remote reunion each time. It always feels like there will be a tomorrow, but that was never promised. And to say the two would meet again, well, it would be just as empty. Spoiler Those days in the Bazaar were the most pleasant slice of life I've ever had. Thanks for being there for it. Mentions: @Junoix
