The Execution of a Traitor

"...Sedanites?" Henry Bishop says, incredibly confused. After consulting with his peers of Sedan, he looks at the missive yet again "There was no attempt made by the forces of Sedan to rescue this man, it seems Orenian delusions have finally paid off en masse."

Lukas Castile read the missive, laughing a bit, "This disruption was not the doing of the Sedanians, the Imperials tell yet more lies."

"Sedan does not claim responsibility of the actions done on this day," Caelan commented, as he finished wiping his blade off.

From his chambers, Richard Castor Helvets, peers over an already penned missive, his fair skin now ragged, detailing weariness as such was strung upon his skull like the hide of a flayed animal. For his eyes were sunken in his skull, leaving the surrounding areas to take on a sickly shade. All he could muster was a mere frown, such at the state of things. Upside down they were, truly. He peered over the missive he had penned yet again, only to abruptly grasp such, crumpling it in his fingers, leaving only a residue of the ink upon his clenched fist. For he had considered committing treachery of the highest degree, treachery against kin, as a certain Falstaff had, but such would offer no merits. For everything was upside down, the present individuals turned upon their heads like babbling fools, the whole lot of them. The missive was placed aside, for now, condemnation would take place. With a now open hand, he'd rub such on the nearby desk, sighing.
"Farewell, Brother." He'd resound.

Ophelia Romanov shook her head, her words filled with sarcasm as she spoke.

”Wow! I would’ve had no idea the man would be executed! Such a surprise! I am so surprised and in awe at the outcome!”

".. for the safety and well-being of any and all inhabitants of the Holy Orenian Empire .." Ser Gustaven von Halsfield would reread this portion of the missive outloud to himself, a perplexed look across his face, "Hardly convincing. The reality is that they're doing this for the safety and well-being of their ownselves, not those of which they consider beneath them - that being the citizenry. Do those of which that the Empire's recently slaughtered pose any genuine harm or risk to the everyday citizen, much like how the Empire tries to pretend? No. Do the Sedanites, however, pose a threat to the stability of the Empire itself? Surely." he'd shrug his shoulders, letting out a sigh, "Hogwash as usual."

”Yeah, me too,“ says J. Fitzpeter. ”Did I mention that I‘m an economist?“

Ophelia Romanov smiled at the mans words.

”Oh my! Did I ever mention how I have an immense fetish for men whom are economists?!”

J. Fitzpeter suddenly regrets applying for an army commission. As he marches forward into a world of death, he cannot help but think of the deceased Robert with a cool respect - the dead like him had given it all for their beliefs. Could John maintain courage to risk his life for his own while such sweet things waited for him?

With a deep breath, he finds assurance in the fact he will be marginally safer as an artillerist.

Caspian offered a solemn nod to his compatriots as they dragged the broken bodies off the streets. "We've killed so many of them, too many to count.." He'd comment as he glanced down towards the cobbled road. "It's a shame, really.. though it is a necessary evil. Let us hope more of them come forth, pleading for mercy so that we do not have to continue to kill those who were once our own."

The Acolyte of Jorenus (Ivarus Bishop) would read the letter on quite a late notice, as he frowns upon it when he read the name 'Sedanites', he scratches the back of his head as he would Cross himself multiple times as he drops the letter while he holds his cross with his left-hand and crossing himself with his right, obviously, saddened. "God never advocated execution of your fellow beings.. nor will He ever do so, thus murder, execution, torture are the three biggest sins you could possibly imagine, unless they turn their backs upon God himself and decide to walk upon the paths of heathens and apostates. May Robert find his peace with God and the others in the Seven Skies, Amen."

He says, crossing himself three times as he would continue to speak "This bloodshed among Canonists and fellow beings must stop, this is not how God wanted our world to be.. I am saddened to hear of this event to happen.. and that the minority of Sedanians 'caused' this, now, I do not pick a side, but this is utter madness towards people who want to be FREE and explore the ways of God without having to comply to laws which restrict them from doing so. Yet, the judgement on this man is supposed to be judged by God, not by mortals, as it is He who decides who will be brought to Eternal Life, or to the damned daemons of the Void."

He clear his throat, as he gets on one knee in front of an altar inside his home, crossing himself once more as he would  fold his hands together. May God bless his relatives with support in their loss and grievance, as the murder of people who believe in the same God, should not be tolerated, whether that is for your political beliefs or on your own intend. In the end, we all come from the same Creator." He crosses himself once more as he folds the letter,  throwing it into the fire as he watched it burn.
