BobBox 3798 Share Posted March 19, 2021 The Execution of a Traitor The Holy Oren Empire has prevailed over yet another traitorous individual. Robert Foltest Helvets - a conspirator and traitor to the Holy Orenian Empire- was stabbed through the neck after the traitorous Sedanites attempted to free him in order to avoid punishment for his crimes - crimes that he admitted to a faithful citizen, who then told the state. Not only was this man guilty of his crimes but during his first trial, a horde of Sedanites also attempted to break into the city to save him, which not only solidified his guilt but also carelessly risked the lives of many civilians, though thankfully none were hurt. These Sedanites then also attempted to disrupt the second trial, but Robert was promptly executed and the horde was dealt with by the faithful defenders of the Holy Orenian Empire. While we are saddened to announce the death of yet another once-respected individual, the state has no option but to prosecute these traitors to the full extent of the law for the safety and well-being of any and all inhabitants of the Holy Orenian Empire. Let this serve as an example to anyone involved or considering being involved in this rebellion - you will be found out and tried to the full extent of the law, with no pity granted upon you. libertyybelle 6187 Share Posted March 19, 2021 Anna Henrietta stared at the fire that was lit within the hearth- designated in the Trissingham Palace. With a warm blanket wrapped about her shoulders she let out a sigh. Eyes narrowing she declared to no one in particular. ”Robert use to be a good man. Almost like a son of mine. Shame that Iblees cursed him and drug him to the depths of such stupid behavior.” Her hand then clasped over her heart- pained.
KosherZombie 1772 Share Posted March 19, 2021 John Charles watches the Baron of Helvets bleed out on the ground. He grimaces at the sight of his dying friend. The Prince's thoughts swirled about. Why would you do this? What did you really think would come of your actions? You could have been so much more. So many dead, and yet nothing learned. When will our people move away from this sour cycle? He crosses the Lorraine over his chest. "May god have the mercy we could not." The elderly prince gave the body one last look, before turning away. There was so much left to be done.

May God look after your soul for all the sins you have committed — Lord Helvets.”
Eryane 3698 Share Posted March 19, 2021 News came posthaste that the Baron Helvets was to be meet the untimely fate of execution, as Lady Milena Carrion was sitting alone amongst a series of pews. Her brunette tresses slipped over her shoulders while her head was bowed in silence after the departure of the informing courtier. Only an exhale could escape her, shakily, as she grasped at every strength therein to remain poised and composed– for this was of her own doing, so she condemned herself to endless guilts of the consciousness, whether he was traitor not; his execution was a result thereof her choices to betray him so. "What of the sake of the empire, Robert?" She could hear herself still inquire of him, he standing before her on a bridge in the castle of Dobrov. They had spoken for hours; there, he confessing to her of his relations with the Sedanist rebels, and in that time she managed to slip out a letter in a call for aid, that a traitor was in Dobrov; a rebel in her midst. And swiftly he was to depart after a few further hushed words exchanged, yet she knew the soldiers were likely already there. As they descended the steps into the courtyard, him muttering to keep their conversation private and she having already revealed it, her stomach churned with an indescribable sickness as she saw the utter betrayal in his eyes. The ISA men pooled out from their shrouded spots and other locations across the square. "I trusted you," said he as he stammered forth and presented his hands high, looking to Milena as the men went on to detain him. "You betrayed the empire," she had spat back swift and harsh; the words a reassurance of why she penned the letter to begin with and her own doings in spite of her care and affections– for the empire, for the emperor. She still prayed for his soul all throughout the eve and into the next, the day after and so on, for his heart was indeed well in the right place, her recollections of that particular meeting told her so, but his loyalties were not. Nectorist 12869 Share Posted March 19, 2021 "An unfortunate event, to see one so led astray. Let his example, and that of Emil-Dardot, be lessons for those who seek to betray the Empire. Mercy still remains, but only for those who recant their loyalty to treacherous causes," says Franz.
MRCHENN 4741 Share Posted March 19, 2021 “The Imperial Crown does not mercy traitors, but he was a son of God. May he hold on to penance of his sin, for that is only what he had before his demise.” says Ensign Pruvia.
spicii 1131 Share Posted March 19, 2021 Adeline Helvets sat perched over her desk, a laugh escaping her lips as her ultramarine eyes scanned over the array of letters scattered on top of the desk. One letter seemed to stand out in particular, a singular hand outstretching to move it into her grasps. As she tore the letter open, Adeline's eyebrows would knit into thin line across the bottom of her forehead. She could barely make out the words on the piece of parchment presented in front of her, the young Helvet's vision blurring, only focusing on the words 'dead' and 'executed.' A strange sense of discomfort consumed her visage, immediately and carelessly dropping the letter on the floor. Her free hand would move to rest just below her mouth, a small but painful shriek being exposed from her parted lips. Adeline could not believe the news that had just been delivered to her, shaking her head in sullen disbelief. Her twin brother - the only person that truly understood her. The man who had been brought up in a hostile environment, having to face the fears of his rotten childhood alone in isolation. He could not be dead, right? The world could not be as cruel to one person as it was to Robert Helvets. Tears threatening to spill from her eyes, Adeline would swiftly wipe them away before they could even move past her cheek. The only thing in her grasps being a bottle of Helvets scotch, bringing the contents to her lips and taking frequent sips of the hard liquor. As the days fled right past her, the glass bottles of alcohol only seemed to pile up on one another. The dark and desolate room that encased her in, the thoughts and feelings that she masked behind the liquor. It only seemed to get darker.
kuerbis 3802 Share Posted March 19, 2021 Anne Caroline could not sleep that night. Frustrated with that lack of sleep, she climbed up the roof of her estate. The woman nested herself somewhere near the tower, her lips curled downwards. Her gaze moved up to the clear nightsky, her features scrunching up in sorrow. "Traitor or not... he was my cousin, he was my blood... I hope you rest well, Robert- and I hope you greet grandmother from me."
MunaZaldrizoti 8037 Share Posted March 19, 2021 Charlotte Augusta sat upright in her bed, lips drawn into a thinned line as she read the missive from the confines of Montfort House. The ISA lingered at the entrances to her front door and bedroom, the princess entirely confined. Her mind drifted to thoughts of the conflict that ensued following his private execution, leading to her own injury and attempted kidnapping. "I pray Victoria can forgive you. I hope that, at the very least."
venclair 713 Share Posted March 19, 2021 · ꕥ · AN APPETENCE. There was the need to move almost without end; the countryside passing as she loosened herself from her adventures, much like a dream. A horse’s hooves felt the earth and gained their own rhythm, a letter clutched tightly between Victoria’s hand as she held the reins. Tristful words at her grasp, bittersweet and hefty. For I have come to realize in my confinement, how truly foolish I was. For beyond my narrow vision, I had everything I ever could have wanted. And thus, do the grandiose walls of the capital meet her weary eyes. With the little energy she had, Victoria hastened off her mare to the gates of Providence. Her face had been flushed, feeling as if her chest would have erupted at any moment. Love is what strove for her to return to her home - to shun whatever landmark was left for her to explore. Underneath the ache to profess her feelings for Robert, she felt fear. A fear that perhaps she may not be able to utter those three words to her beloved. You, Vic. I loved you. It was always you. These words rang amidst her cluster of thoughts. A fool she felt, yearning for what could have happened if she had not been so fearful. Traipsing her way through a crowd, a looming figure emerged - his stern eyes setting on her. And should I die a traitor's death, I hope you can find it in you to forgive me - and remember the man I was before I fell. “Victoria. I have something to tell vy.. it is about Robert.” The Raevir croaked, a foreign softness slipping his tongue “I am sorry.”
Proddy 2415 Share Posted March 19, 2021 As Roberts soul began to fade from this world, the blades that had pierced his body and skull too much for his mortal body, he felt a comforting sense of relief. For at last, it was all over. A boy once of great prospects and potential turned wicked and rueful from the boiling cauldron of the world had found his peace at last. An eternal slumber awaited him, one free from worry and dread. But as he slipped away, one name in particular ruminated within his cloudy mind. Victoria... that voice called out to him. And with regret, he pondered upon what his life could have been... It would have been glorious.
winterblood 11181 Share Posted March 19, 2021 https://youtu.be/lrlVAMwRqEs?t=254 The doors to Margaux's room remained locked after she heard of the fate of her beloved cousin. What a wretched year this had been, she thought to herself. Her eyes were puffy and red with irritation from her crying, the flushed tones of her cheeks had now begun to fade; by now, her muffled sobs petered out into a still and numbing silence. Her cousin and friend were forever gone. She knew this day would eventually come, ever since Robert was first detained by the ISA; his survival was not a likely outcome. Yet, she chose to shove all thoughts of this matter away. How she had longed for such events to have only been a dream, a very distant dream... When word of the Count of Leuven's denouement of the rebellion was spread around, and how he had been spared his life after the trial, hope tugged at the young woman's heart. Such is why it took her so long to react to the news of her cousin's demise, having struggled in coming to terms with the harsh reality. When her emotions took her, she expected to feel a sensation of anguish and despair that would have snap her heart and killed her. But she only felt empty, a piece taken from her; a member of her family truly lost.
