8th of the Horen’s Caling, 1820

As the Ferrymen jumped across the rooftops, volley after volley of arrows were down onto the innocent women and children within Providence. The pagans' victims lay bleeding, they shouted their outrageous demands, mocking the innocent denizens. Amongst the victims of their torture stood a young teenager, who took an arrow for his baby sister.

Moments after, the ISA rallied under Captain Ruthern within the halls of the Bastion, refusing to give into the bandits' demands. With the sacrament of God’s blessing on their side, they stood in the very halls where the High Pontiff had blessed the ISA just a few saint hours before. After a long standoff, the bandits in their hubris charged into the Bastion, and dropped down onto the awaiting ISA below. Trapped like rats within the bastion, they were unable to run. Captain Ruthern ordering, a head in charge, led the clash within the halls of the Bastion. Imperial steel met pagan flesh as the bandits were slaughtered. Giving no quarter to the unholy bandits, the ISA decimated their rally, saving a few cowards who ran off with their lives unable to withstand the attack.

Let it be known that His Imperial Majesty’s army allows no mercy for pagan and apostate bandits who terrorize His citizens.

“Though a thief may find refuge and the blasphemer speak softly, the Lord’s eye is cast over all sin.”

(Spirit 3:14).

Signed

Captain Ruthern of the 1st Brigade

"Sorry... who? We don't attack innocents and we win our battles. They're not with us." a Nordling in the Varhelm palace would utter.

Cardinal Gawain suffered an aneurysm upon hearing about pagans within his City. Just the thought of a pagan touching the stone pavement within his city - nay just the thought of a pagan looking at the city-- nay just the thought of a pagan made him be filled with rage. "They keep coming! They never stop! I told Olivier I was right-- you kill one and two more pop up! ISA please keep chopping all of them up and start burning their fields so they can't make more of them!"

The fairest, Apollina-Calypsa, hears word of the incursion from the fractured walls of an unpretentious ruin, her fingers roving to hover first over her forehead then from shoulder to shoulder as usually done preceding the cadence of prayer"He is the Lord God without peer, and his word is the holy word, and his path is the virtuous path, and all the blessings of the virtue shall fall before the righteous who tread it." She recites, blue orbs now looking forth unto the skies, "May the pagans burn with GOD's vengeance."

"Ah yes my apologies. . . The teal scarves are not with you. They just fight your battles in place of your lacking guard force. Shall we mark the Norlandic victories up to zero as well if that is the case?" The young Vanguard Lieutenant Leon d'Azor states through a open window of the palace at Varhelm before riding off into the night.

"What a shame I was nie there. I would have burned all of the pagans in an instant. They deserve nie our mercy anymore, they deserve what they have given our innocent civilians and more. At the end of their war, they will nie longer have a burning bush. Anger Godan and he will show vy his wrath." The young Kelhus Othaman stated as he heard word of what happened "These pagans shall all die, I can promise vy this Norland." He would proceed to prepare himself for the next battle they will have with the ferrymen, eagerly awaiting the opportunity to fight for the Empire

The Nordling would project his voice with the novellen megaphone, "If they wear teal scarves, they're also not with us. You may have them mistaken with the Ferrymen, who wear Gable Green bandanas. As you can tell, they do not wear teal scarves, although the confusion is understandable. Perhaps the people who you fought are just Orenian rebels."

Erik Erikson, the Ex-Northlandgrad Delivery Boy watches as the Viscount Simon Pruvia slaughters yet another Ferryman & upon hearing the Nordling cries ring out in Varhelm he'd make one last delivery. The following morning, small parcels of copium would be placed neatly at the doorstep of the varhelm castle with eight green bandannas. "Another day, another loss for Norland" The Northlandgrad boy quipped under his breath, proud to have left the frigid north in favor of the very strong Empire long ago. How long before others follow his example?

Captain Ruthern recalls them very much proclaiming to be Ferrymen before the fight

The Nordling would weirdchamp at why the Ferrymen would attack innocents before coming to the realisation that it is most likely just Imperial lies.

Toffee also sighs, but a sigh of relief, knowing that her kin are safe for now.

"Knowing the difference between specific shades of colors is a bit..homosexual, is it not?" Inquires an aging Edgar to the Nordish man. "Cant tell the difference between colors myself, bit too blind nowadays." He'd ramble on for some time before losing his dentures.

Garret Darkwood walks out of the streets of Providence into the basilica gardens, sitting there phased for 2 hours, seeing the blood on his hands he softly states "They targeted women, and children younger than my own children, Joseph D'Azor took an arrow in the chest for a young child." Garret Darkwood then spends the next 4 hours praying in the Gardens for the souls of the departed "These Nordlings have proven they will stop at nothing to destroy everything. We asked for peace, they gave us war then they kill our children." Garret sits and seethes for another hour before standing up and wiping the blood from his sword "This is the fight for our lives, the fight for our existence. These Apostates have proven that they wish not only to destroy Oren, and the holy see, but they have proven that they want to kill all. We must stop this, we must fight and more importantly we must WIN. OREN AUT MORTEM" Garret Darkwood then runs to the forge to sharpen his blade for another fight.

Sir Erik Othaman frowned as he listened to his ward speak. He'd shake his head towards the boy as the aged Knight is unable to comprehend his ward's modern word usage.

"Cope? What kind of word is that, boy? Speak properly."
