KaiserJacobII 1048 Share Posted October 24, 2021 Fire and Sea Brine A depiction of the Elvenesse coast, circa 1830 Twas in Elvenland, and in Malin-wood that the fire Burned so bright, red and white and gold it was; the fires of death and destruction Before the fire was the calm, silent and reverent Proud and wild, like the Elven lord before The ranks of steel shivered in anticipation And before him, they were nothing His wrath and hatred most unholy, his Killing and destruction brought forth upon The forest of green-fire pines great And lastly the stone of seawalls Why does the sea flee from the stone, yet To crash upon it again? When fire brought new life, and when New life brought fire ~ Nothing will ever be the same again ~ Michael Genevius O'Rourke
