Imperial Statement on the Ireheart Aggressions

The elven prince would read the missive with a furrowed brow. He writes a public response immediately.

To all who read this statement:

Within the last elven week, the Ireheart Clan has come to the gates of Elvendom requesting duels for our ears. As per a long-standing arrangement, we allowed them to do this. The Irehearts are a noble and proud clan, and it would have proven foolish to deny them the ability to challenge the elves openly. They abided by our laws in regards to these duels.

That is until the last few days. An Ireheart with a scarred left eye tricked a young elf into severing their own ear with a blatant lie: that he needed elven ears to cure his friend.

We do not intend to break our agreement and cooperation with the Ireheart Clan, but such cowardice and deceit ought to be expunged from their ranks if they intend to uphold their traditions in our lands. I pray they think on this.

Captain Ezekiel Moores rolled his eyes as he saw the papers pile up on his desk, steel fist gripping the missive in one hand, while a quill rested in the other.

"Storm's brewing lads!" He hollered out of his office as he reached the bottom of the paper, setting it aside. The weary veteran stood up from his seat, trudging across the room to a display case by the door. With a grin, the captain raised a well maintained sabre from the case, gently turning the fine blade in his hands.

"Death and glory..." He murmured to himself, as his flesh hand ran over the engraving.

"What's all the fuss? I think that clipping elf ears is quite agreeable, even courageous and unique, not caring what others think is Based on tradition." Emiel argued to his brothers after reading, hands aloft in a fit of frustration.

"Ti but, at the end of the day.. Imperial elves are anything but the descended of Malin. To reject one's nature as a mali and roll in the filth of a culture most foreign to you means you have rejected your nature. The Fabrication that 'Irehearts' are clipping the ears of elves are most definitely false, under the aforementioned. As a mali'aheral most free and proud to be of Malin's descent, I even approve of their behaviour and have not once been threatened by these dwed." Commented a Shepard of Mali passively to  a certain 'fenn during their talks, as she heard the news of this. @Monkee

That 'fenn nods in agreement, before returning to his preparations.

Hugo Horst at once saw the letter, dreary eyes rolling towards his calendar and back to the missive. "Must be close to winter break."
