Guest Share Posted November 30, 2021 1 hour ago, Minuvas said: The Elven Vice-Chancellor of Oren would stand by the Archchancellors side, stating plainly for those asking of the matter. "It doesn't surprise me that Urguan would come into Orenian lands and threaten to clip off the ears of one of its own vassal's children, the very Archon of Stygian Hollow, not withstanding that elf ear clipping is barbaric and illegal here. If you think this account is not possible for the Grand King's Dwarven clans to assault his own subjects, you need not ask an Orenian - ask some of the Grand Kings subjects themselves. The people of Sunbreak have been assaulted by Clan Ireheart, and the peaceful people of Veritas were uprooted without prejudice. Now, the Archon of Stygian Hollows daughter-in-law and mother of his grandchild was threatened to have her ears clipped. I'm not sure whats worse, that the Grand King treats his own subjects in such a matter - or that the Empire of Oren must be the one to advocate for their reasonable treatment. The former Warden of the Pale, Kairn Calithil penned a letter to Minuvas. Though the two were contemporaries with storied histories, it would likely be the first time they had some form of direct communication. To the Vice-Chancellor, Minuvas. Had these individuals you mentioned not laid their fortunes upon the crest of the King Norli's brow to begin with, they would not be facing the situations they are engaged in. It is a good thing to desire peace; but you must recognize the weight of your words and what they may represent for your constituents going forward. I consider myself rather impartial in the matter of vassals & the rise of Dwarven Nationalism within the hallowed Halls of Dungrim. Yet, you must remind yourself, there are other issues to the forefront of Imperial politics than the plight of ravenous Dark Elves and foreign adversaries who would sell out your state for an inkling of power. I write this to you as a friend and you may do with this knowledge as you please. Be mindful, the Stygians and men & women of Veritas are no friends of the Empire of Man. Care for the Imperial; the waylaid Orenian virtuoso, and let the infidels within their stone fortresses burn themselves, and suffer the consequences of their poor decision-making. Signed, K.C. High_On_Math 449 Share Posted November 30, 2021 Luthriel broke down, crying and wetting the missive with tears as she remembered that day. That day when the Irehearts dares to take the ear of a crippled defenseless woman. That day when her able bodied friend, Renactus, died attempting to fight the Irehearts away from her. That day when she was helpless to protect her friend and to protect herself. She was dragged away to safety while her friend died a pointless death. May the Irehearts thank Godan she was crippled and her revenge would be long delayed.

bugbytes21 790 Share Posted November 30, 2021 Victor Vuiller, Squire of the Order of Exaulted Owyn reads the imperial missive and a pit starts to form in his stomach, being very young at the time of the tenth Nordling war flashbacks of Ferrymen sending arrows into the streets of Providence flashed before his eyes. He then begins to sharpen his sword, and trains for war, praying to God that War will not come.
Franczhiz 4437 Share Posted November 30, 2021 Holy Sir Philip, The Equestor-Imperator of the Supreme Order of Exalted Owyn would read such news. "The Supreme Order of Exalted Owyn and the Order of St Tylos, in company of two most honorable gentlemen of House Vuiller chased two of those bastard dwarves of the same clan off Canonist soil. Was it not for them fleeing on such fast horses after having threatened to murder a child and threaten the clergy; then I would personally send their heads back to the leader of their clan. Disgusting heathens. Such vile clan with no honor should be eliminated, at once and forever. Acts of these heathens can not be solved by a peaceful talk; when they feel the edge of a blade is when they pray that they met GOD and his virtuous path. One would continue to use the blade to make heathens pay until there is no soul to hear of who preaches the madness of murdering children. May Exalted Owyn strike them down with his illuminated sword and may GOD send them to the Void for their crimes done against humanity."
Taketheshot 3834 Share Posted November 30, 2021 Joseph d'Azor grumbled as he read the letter pacing the halls of Azor as he grasped the paper in one hand. "These ridiculous brigands, they will not get away with this!" He muttered out loud curling his lips into a frown as he continued to pace the halls reading. "Well... I suppose its like when the Nordlings asked us to remind them." He paused looking to a shelf where a captured dwed legion helmet sat from the Eighteen Years war, an artifact of centuries past with a massive crack across the browline where its wearer had fallen to Imperial steel. "I pray these halfmen keep the peace, but.. If we must remind them....so be it..."
Tulan 443 Share Posted November 30, 2021 "Surely the Empire can understand why it is we turned toward the protection of Urguan? No one else seemed to grant us an olive branch after the fall of New Magara'lin, we had still been marooned without the hospitality of the dwed. So anyone who may claim we're no friend of the Empire is speaking from lack of an kind of personal experience with us. We are not mindless savages who prey on the weak. Not one of us have raised arms against the Empire. Even so, we are at our right to defend our home against any and all who would seek to diminish our right to live as we see fit." Ruathar Indoren would clarify some of the ongoing ignorance among the thriving one-sided Imperial propaganda machine. "Hopefully this will shed some light upon the other side of the coin, instead of immediately jumping to the conclusion all who are under Urguan are cruel beasts. It should be accepted that we actually attempting to run a functional semi-autonomous state under Urguan. Much like Haense remained a subsidiary state under the Empire for a very long time. Why should it be no different for ker? Why should we not be allowed to recover in a similar fashion until a day where ker can reunite? It is not unknown to me that the Imperial Vice-Chancellor looks at us with great disdain, the one bastion of Mali'ker he couldn't bring into his little experiment." Carson 1165 Share Posted November 30, 2021 Solheim Niviarsiaq of Semsvannet, a Forest Dwed of Hefrumm, frowns at the missive, directing her dear friend Laurent de Sarkozy to ponder its contents. "I ne'er liked those Irehearts. Needlessly violent. We should no stand fer a clan that demands brutality fer one tae join et. All descendants are equal in the eyes of Xan." @Kalehart
GMRO 6187 Share Posted November 30, 2021 An old withered Ireheart put on a thick set of reading glasses, scratching his chin. "Where there are Elves, there are Ireheart beardlings looking for ears. If Imperial Elves want to be Elves, they should have the full experience. Act against God, pah! Wigs on an Elf are an act against the balance." Hrokaz 631 Share Posted November 30, 2021 Alaric was the last Dwarven Commander to have led Kingdom authorized patrols through Imperial lands in Arcas. He thought back to his days of bludgeoning poor Orenian gentries’ brains out of their skull with his stone fist upon the wooden planks of the Pale Bridge. “So…” He said as he sharpened his gladius. “De Lobsters want to dance again? Guess a few more o’der lads can use some extreme brain injuries, but I didn’t think they would be so eager fo’ more.”

Iudaes 1095 Share Posted December 1, 2021 "A shame the Ireheart Clan is stuck in the past, and doubly-so." James Francis commented idly. "Clipping ears... marching on Oren's lands as if the Empire and Norland were still steeped in conflict." he laughed, soon though waving away the servant who had brought him the letter, saying finally, "Well, as they're stuck in the past, we are moving forward. Progress in government and culture, a new city... hah, a revised ORC for God's sake. Let these Irehearts get fiery and clip ears, though we'd ought to let them know they'd best catch up with us at some point." "Now, you'd best get going. There's work to be done."
