___siren___ 458 Share Posted January 10, 2022 A TOAST TO OUR LOVED ONES A Celebration and Tournament at Vidaus 408 E.S __________________________________________________________________________________________ VA VE EDLERVIK, It is with great sorrow that we received the news of the Field Marshal's demise. We, his family, take comfort in knowing that he died serving the Koengzem of Haenseti-Ruska until his very last breath. But before we move on from mourning his loss, we want to invite the Haeseni and Uruguani populace to say their final goodbyes in the form of a Tournament in Ser Ailred var Ruthern’s honour. __________________________________________________________________________________________ A depiction of the last Tournament in Vidaus __________________________________________________________________________________________ AN OPENING SPEECH & GRAND UNVEILING As the guests settle in and drinks are distributed, we shall first and foremost toast those fine soldiers we lost in the recent battle - one, particularly close in the Ruthern family’s hearts, none other than Ser Ailred. The current Duke of Vidaus, His Grace Rhys var Ruthern will open the event with a small speech, before the GRAND UNVEILING of the VICTORY PAINTING shall be revealed to guests and family members alike. Revelling will continue, with food and music and plenty of drink to lighten the mood. TOURNAMENT Following such, there shall be a hand-to-hand combat melee on the grounds of the Duchy. Brave men and women may sign up when prompted to at the event, to fight with brave hearts and a strong mind - commemorating the fallen Field Marshal. The winner of the Ruthern melee will win 100 mina. After the melee, archery bullseyes will be swiftly constructed, so the sporting tournaments may continue. Participants should line up, each taking their turn to fire at the targets - with an eventual winner crowned! This champion will win 100 mina as well.
