Falling Leaves [PK]

The news of the loss of Esmond came quickly to Eliza Raven's ears. Her shoulders slumped and her fragile heart cracked at the weight of her sorrow. Eliza thought long about Aylin, an old friend she'd not seen in many years. "How she must feel..." The Adunian muttered as she wiped at her eyes, knowing full well the pain of losing a lover.

With a long, shaky breath, Eliza poured herself a shot of cinnamon whiskey; this had become her ritual anytime she heard someone she'd cared for had died. Letting the alcohol burn her throat and tongue for a moment, Eliza closed her eyes. "Another good man gone far too soon. With many to miss him."

Heavy plate sabatons echoes across the Elysian square as two Lunaran Guards headed into the Clinic, striding down the stairs in a quickened pace as the third amongst them brought up the rear, the Red headed elfess signialling for the others to move more quieter.

Nodding to the red head Lunah stepped forward and gently unlocked the door and peered inside, opening it wide as they gazed upon the scene inside. With heavy hearts and quietness they slowly closed the door once more and locked it. Nodding to one another Lunah and the other Lunaran Guard took up posts on either side of the Door and stood vigil, the red head moving to sit on the nearby couch. The trio would stand there well into the night and into the next day, barely moving a muscle until morning came.

Amethyst walked with the Lunaran Guards, herself not wearing her armor. Making her way down the stairs with the two, her footsteps light. With tear stained cheeks they made their way to the door. Her heart dropping into her stomach as her eyes met the scene, her sheild sister beside the body of her husband. She felt as if she was about to lose her lunch, before she sat down at the bench right outside. Lunah and the other guard taking up post outside the door. Memories of her fallen friend flooding into her mind, she had lost another friend, another person she called family. Another Outrider like her dear friend Matilda oh so many years ago. Tears began to flood her eyes as she layed back on the bench. "Not again...another is gone..." Her words soft and full of pain as well as her heart. "sleep well my llir, I hope you and Matilda are watching over us from where you are."
