The Provins Household does announce with a heavy heart the abdication of The Right Honorable, Countess Amadie Pruvia. Born upon the 14th of Godfrey’s Triumph 1836 as Amadie Marléne Élisabeth Pruvia, she achieved an astonishing milestone in being one of the initial products of the Rosemoor Bill, becoming the first Viscountess Provins in the year 1844. Amongst her most heralded achievements is pioneering the construction of the Chateau d’Aubepine, which now serves as the central estate of the Pruvia family. Later in her tenure she would raise the peerage of Provins from Viscounty to County in due reward for her unwavering loyalty to their Imperial Majesties during the Aster Revolution. Amadie now resigns from her title and peerage at the young age of 26 to pursue a life of travel abroad. The Provins Household wishes the Countess-Emerita a healthy and bountiful journey, and reminds her that she shall always have a place amongst her family and household should she wish to return.

In lieu of her departure from the position of Countess-Emerita, her title and patriarchy of the Pruvia family shall be passed down to her eldest son Fernand Pruvia by virtue of Imperial succession law. With Count Fernand’s minority in mind however, the role of regent is hereby granted to his grandfather the Viscount-Emeritus, Father Philip Pruvia.

The duties, rights and responsibilities of the Regent of Provins shall encompass the following;

  1. To manage the Provins estate and assets on the behalf of Fernand Pruvia.

  2. To manage the Provins finances on behalf of Fernand Pruvia.

  3. To serve as patriarch of the Provins household and Pruvia family on behalf of Fernand Pruvia.

  4. To attend and speak at the Adriatic Court on behalf of Fernand Pruvia.

  5. To fulfill Imperial obligations on behalf of Fernand Pruvia, such as paying fiefdom taxes and answering Imperial summons.

Philip Pruvia’s role as Regent shall expire on the 16th of Harren’s Folly 1873, where Count Fernand’s 16th birthday shall be marked and he has matured into adulthood.

Signed,

TRH, the Countess of Provins, Amadie Pruvia.

Father Philip Pruvia.

The elderly Count-Regent glanced his grandson- knowing that the fate of their house, once again rested on his own shoulders. "I must do it once more, for Pruvia." He'd whisper to himself in tired tone.

"So she essentially just abandoned her duties as a noble, duties to her people and her family to go sight seeing? Is this the standard that is acceptable for nobility these days?" Manfred would say in disgust upon being informed of the abdication "How pathetic"

The Viscount-Emeritus Simon Pruvia reminisces fondly on his earliest interactions with his illustrious granddaughter. From afar, he wishes prosperity for her brethren, and kin to come.

The Princess Amelia observes the missive with the upmost of scrutiny before bursting into an obnoxious laugh in the privates of her own home.

Of course that ignorant girl could not last even a bit as a Countess. Pathetic. A disgrace to the Pruvia name. Her son on the other hand is a right little heir. Hopefully he will bring some honor back to the ancient name.”

On the other hand, a youthful looking Anna of Pruvia smiled as she saw her great nephew take ahold of the title. Nudging her father, the old Viscount, with a prideful chest.

Peter August would take a look over the note as he whispered to himself, "How has the House of Pruvia fallen to such poor standard." He would shake his head as he moved to carry on with the tasks of the given day.

"Roses are red,

Violets are blue.

Amelia ran off first,

and Manfred's a tool."

"I don't get it, Charles. Who are these people?" the Countess Emerita replied to her husband's poetic musins 'pon those distant beaches.

"Ah, an irrelevant princess and a pagan, dear."

"Why are you wasting time thinking about them?"

"Good question, dear. Good question."

“Another spritz of mulberry.” Croaked a Venclairish parfumerie-craftsman, between his fits of picking fights with whores and hooligans in the dregs of his homeland, and delving the occult. “… and, Pruvian Truffle, also.”

Anne Caroline scowls. She had expected more of her granddaughter - the prodigy. Thus, she turned to her great grandson, eyeing the child-count with scrunity.

"It was only a matter of time before God's justice caught up with them for the Pruvian Schism." remarked Walton.

"Nobles had standards?" Damianos mused nearby.

Amadia Pruvia laughs hysterically, as she hears the ridicule of her family, even though her father did once the same to her, put into a position from an early age, and retiring after many years so that her son can account for the same fate as she once did.

"Oh..! The lives of the damned! Oh woe is you, for you've nothing else to chat about other than lives that are not your own! My condolences to those who were angered by my sudden departure. Oh woe is you... Oh woe is you..."

She repeated this in a sing-song manner, clearly the Countess having lost some of her sanity, raising her little Count to be exactly like her manic mind. Charles had tended to her in said state, but at least Amadie was freed from the chains of sewage society. Her days of hunting in the dense forests and striding in the deep pastures of the wilderness were upon her, with Charles joining her on these adventures.

All stories must come to a close, and the ending of this adventure was only the beginning of another.
