Next is his council, consisting of the: Chancellor - Second in command and manages what the Viceroy cannot in daily affairs Head Diplomat - Handles all foreign diplomatic affairs, and is tasked with forging pacts Capitan - Military leader of Hyspia, and is expected to organize and train the Viceroyalty’s army and is tasked with the protection of the realm Justiciero - charged with creating and enforcing the laws of Hyspia, as decreed in the Lex Hyspia Head Steward - Handles all housing issues within Hyspia, such as selling houses and taxes Settlement Builds and Infrastructure (photos required): All credits go to the original builders, I nor anybody in our community built the original build How does this settlement offer a unique niche not already found in an existing polity on the server?: The Viceroyalty of Hyspia serves as the primary settlement for the Hyspian culture, and as a result of having an independent settlement we are able to harbor and grow our culture slowly but steadily. This is not the first time Hyspians have settled into their own towns, and whenever they have it has always caused interesting RP for its neighbors. Either way, as previously stated, the Viceroyalty has become a way for our culture to grow and expand. With the potential to centralize our RP hub, the culture will no longer be as spread out among the many nations of Almaris. How does your settlement tie to the greater lore and narrative set by the community on LotC?: While the Viceroyalty itself has only been around for a short amount of time, there has always been a significant buildup leading to its foundation. A good portion of Hyspian players have wanted an independent settlement since the start of the map, and this has displayed itself IRPly as well with how the Hyspians have shaped their history. For one, when the Hyspians ruled the settlement of Osanora it led to us supporting the Canonist coup (also called the Third Coup of Sutica). The Hyspians made up about 1/3 of the Coup rally, and helped secure the throne of Georg Barclay. Another example; when the Hyspians created the Barony of Arenisca in Urguan, they fought alongside the Dwarves during the War of Wigs against the Holy Orenian Empire on multiple occasions and even joined Urguan in helping to thwart an attempted coup in Savoy. Have you ever run a settlement on LoTC before and what experience do you have with leadership within roleplay communities among the current groups of players?: In my time on LOTC, I have led the following: Kingdom of Hyspia - Freebuild settlement in Arcas Jarldom of Nueva Tierra - Hyspian vassal settlement in Norland Barony of Arenisca - Hyspian vassal settlement in Urguan Kingdom of Norland - Highlander Kingdom most famous for the Red Faith Do you understand the metrics for maintaining activity and the grounds for settlement removal, along with the standing polity cap?
