saint swag 2457 Popular Post Share Posted November 2, 2022 Story Request Guide Intro Hey gang, I'm going to keep this guide quick and simple because that's all it really needs to be. Due to the fairly high volume of requests the Story Team has come in on the daily, I figured it would be beneficial for us all (that's you and us) to try to streamline this process by tackling the issue that most of the requests that you all submit cannot be done whilst you're offline. By following some of these methods below, you should be able to have most of your requests completed and ready for when you next log on rather than waiting painful hours for somebody to pick your sreq up. General Guidelines Be as concise as possible. Sreqs that clearly state what you need can be taken quicker, please don't be vague. Don't close and reopen your sreq unless you genuinely need to, doing so will put you at the bottom of the list. Never make multiple sreqs for the same thing. Item Signatures Item signatures are by far the most common request the Story Team receives and can be done very easily without you needing to be online with the item on hand. To make this as easy as possible, all you need to do is follow the steps below before writing your sreq. You can follow this for most requests that involve items. Make a container, place a sign on it that says “ST Box” or something of the like. Alternatively, include a screenshot of it in the google document you’ll make. Make up a password, lock the container using /cpassword [password]. Do the necessary roleplay for what you’re trying to make. Screenshot it, put that in the document. Make the item and put the item into the container. Make up a password for the container, put that and any additional information into the document. Make your sreq next to the container. Clearly state what you need done, what lore it involves, then link the document at the end. We can click links and we can teleport to where you were standing when you entered the command. If the item is an MArt, please understand that only management and administration can sign off this item and thus will take longer. Example: /sreq [Mysticism] I have made two Major Hexes that I need signed, the items are in the chest labeled "ST Signatures" and the roleplay is here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1zWYhLjIg-FNrSKKf0uIfwwk455he0Y9nuRZnN-9bzBQ/edit?usp=sharing Questions We can answer any and all questions at any time, it is preferred that you make an sreq for these rather than asking online ST directly as all of us have different areas of expertise. For any question you should be as consise and to the point as possible, please don't make reqs that say something like "I have a question". Questions can be answered even when you're offline, look out for a message that states your req has been closed, the given answer will usually be under that. Example: /sreq [Alchemy] If I put Flame Oil on something does it need to be ST signed? Nodes In the ST we have a handful of members who deal with nodes who are often busy with a slew of other commitments, due to this, it can unfortunately take a while for node requests to be dealt with. Only one person in the node mining group needs to write an sreq, please don't put in multiple. Don't req multiple times, don't close and reopen your req, this will put you at the bottom of the list. Example: /sreq [Node] Four guys waiting to harvest this node, we have all the emotes ready. App Updates If you have any changes that need to be made to any of your MAs, TAs or CAs, don't hesitate to make an sreq for them. As is with all the other types of reqs above, please be direct with what you need done. Don't make a req that says "I need changes to my app". Say what you need done and either put the links to the apps in a google doc or just in the req itself. If you're trying to drop a student, please mention what tier they're locked at where applicable. Example: /sreq [Alchemy] I need my student [student's MC name] removed from my TA: [TA Link] I think this covers all reqs, if you have any suggestions or questions, please reply with them. Hope this helps.

ClassyDryad 1735 Share Posted November 2, 2022 Very good advice. Barrels makes the process more convenient for both st and players alike.

It might be better if you made a request to plan to harvest a node and coordinate with an ST member, rather than making the req when you are trying to harvest it. This could save you and your group from sitting and waiting hours for the req to be taken. Example: /sreq [Node] Four guys waiting to harvest this node, we have all the emotes ready. With this section specifically, is there a system in place on if a req for harvest was made, to get locked for that group to harvest the node, if they fail the next group attempts or is it "if the group is online at the time". Since I remember a situation of a group waiting by a node for several hours. Then got raided by another, five minutes later (after the first group lost) the node was harvested. I believe for people that want to harvest nodes wants to know this part specifically since it does get asked a bit by several communities I speak to.

If one is offline and one online I take the online one.
