When is the new map going to be added? i been waiting for months since it was stated that the current map was gonna be wiped, feelt like all my work into my buildings was just a waste so i quited playing, and i been coming back here some times evry month to check things out, and i really want to come back soon...

I love to build. And in addition to building, I love to roleplay. I have managed to keep the 15 people in my clan busy rping and designing buildings for our city in the new map. You should probably try to RP more. With the end of the world upon us it makes for a lot of rich RP. If you only play this server only to build its probably not the best server for you anyway. I will continue to gather resources and build my city till the end of days, to do anything less would be meta. Lol ;-P

Also again I am down for a complete wipe, no Minas no items, only starter kits for the new world and slightly better kits for donors. Our player base has exploded and its only right if everyone is given a fair chance in the new world. If people get to take only their inventory, nations like Alras will just hire a bunch of people to fill up their inventories with stacks of diamond blocks and the economy of the new world will be fu**ed.

Every one starts over, everyone starts fresh, this is the only fair way.

This said, we dont have much of a say and are all at the mercy of what the GMs decide anyway.

Swiping our progress just seems... Dickish.

You act as if we're doing it to be rude, we're doing it for the betterment of the server, economy, and rp~

:ugeek:

players abused mobspawners, old gm's summoned items, there's plenty of reasons why our economy went south, and we don't plan for it to happen again

So then, is it 95% or 100% chance items will be gone?

I totally agree with both ShadowNiji and Shift. Our guild (small, but we are growing) are busy trying to help out where ever war and darkness falls in Aegis right now, instead of trying to level our stats and farm items and building materials! LotC is supposed to be a rp+survival, right?

I'm up for a total wipe, crash landed on a beach with maybe a few! Personal belongings, like books and maybe some bread. Skills kept and a procentage of your minas, u can't carry 'em all...

Regards, Johannes

Personally, I would welcome the change now. After a run with some griefers (I did not know that people could steal locked chests with the old lockette tool, oh well, you live and learn) I am currently item poor anyway AND I can always acquire more items.

I am willing and ready to explore the new land. If the boats, flying eagles, teleporting weasels, or burrowing magical moles suddenly appear, I will be one of the first to jump on board. Heck, I would go right now if I could! A new world to explore! Awesome! Shake up the old!

I have trust in the GMs. Yes, there have been some issues I have seen. Oh well, all games have issues. But overall, I enjoy the server and the game. I have had some good RP.

So, bring on the new world! If you need explorers or people early, then where do we sign up? I will go right now! Need my minas to buy a ticket? Here you go!

Yeah we didn't have banks in RP because they just weren't viable with the plug-in we had. People would've definitely used them if you want to get "realistic" about it.

Speaking of banks my friend.. with the guild application and such coming, I was getting to thinking what about banks? My guild currently ( just recently ) has decided to make a lord of coin in our council, to keep the guilds holdings and account records ( a risky position but we trust the guy and he's cool ) but he brought up a good point, " If I have all the guilds money, I'm going to lose a ton when I die" and I started thinking, why not banks? I know iconomy has banks (did when I ran my server atleast) make guild banks that all members can deposit into and only certain members can take out, and maybe even small personal banks that you can buy the rights to use (via minas or heck even a nice fancy new VIP perk) but for the personal banks it's more like a small safe, so unlike the guild bank it'd have a limit ( or a smaller limit if the guild one has a limit ) Maybe even add a small interest rate (that cuts out once it has gone above a certain value but kicks back in below a value, I did something similar on my server as well with money over 4k stopping the interest )

Anyways Just throwing this out there, i don't expect you guys to try and implement something like this but it really is a (what i feel) a nice suggestion. I like that you lose minas when you die but when i got my bedrock minas I had 30k minas, I died a couple of times to some monsters and I do lose a good bit of minas, which I feel makes me not want to risk dieing as much, but if I could store them somewhere I'd be out and exploring and fighting and dieing again in no time.

I don't know. I think that if my character heard of an attack on Aegis, he'd run home, grab as much Food, Weapons, Armour and Valuables and run to the nearest port. I can understand why minas are being capped since IC people would put the majority of them in a bank, or have them stored at home, and items probably won't be taken, but I don't see why people will lose what they are holding - For example, most people will carry around with them a sword/bow at all times, and may wear armour. I don't see why they'd take time dumping all of their things and THEN run. I say, do it at a random time, possibly when the server is 250/250, and put out a broadcast saying something about Undead attacks on all major cities, giving people a chance to do a few panic things before the world erupts or whatever it is you guys have planned.

Aside from the fact no items seems odd to me, Can't wait for a new start :). Just a side note, I haven't seen all of this thread - but what happens to skills?

Maybe it's like a global undead attack with them raiding and pillaging homes so you won't want to go to your house, mean while there is some other cataclysmic thing going on that makes you need to get on a boat and away from aegis so quick that it would be nice to have a time machine and leave two days prior but ya can't so you run, and then maybe you get mugged on the way to the boat and they let ya live but strip ya down, and then you get to the boat with what little you have left and the captain just grins his crooked with that one gold tooth grin and asks how badly ya want on the ship, you then finally sail away with what little material wealth and dignity you have left to a new paradise, as you shuffle off the boat with the masses your aching tired body fills with energy as you survey the new land and are filled with a new sense of hope and wonderment. This is where you will start again, you think to yourself, you'll earn it all back and be on top in no time! With that thought you depart from the Docks/Beach/other place in which your boat stopped and set out for adventure.

Edit: On a super realistic note though.. it is very very easy to make an event where we would have to flee and not take anything, look at history, The holocaust, the jews fled with what they had on their backs, they where being HUNTED, we could easily be hunted by the undead to the last living man, they wouldn't go to their house before trying to leave Germany, their neighbors most likely pointed them out and their house would be watched. Just imagine (if it makes you feel better about losing stuff) that this is one big serious event, life or death, all or nothing. If you don't flee and get on that last boat, you're dead, game over, flight over fight, your natural instincts would tell you to flee. Any character who would put material wealth before their own well being in a situation like this would most likely be mentally ill and obsessive compulsive of some sort. This situation would be like saying your house is on fire, you need to get out. You're not going to crawl through the smoke to find your keys, your wallet, and clothes and stuff, you're going to die if you stay so you're going to flee.

I like the way you think Casamir. Especially when the realistic stuff happens.

What is more important?

Life or Things that Can be Replaced? Hmmmmmm......

But we need to make it as random as possible. We cant have people getting ready for it.

Well stated Shift, need more optimistic and open minded people like you around

That is what the new map should be about! New beginnings, all negativities left behind

I Realy like this idea. no matter how nice my diamonds and stuffs are, I think this would be awesome and realistic. i realy wish there was a way to keep my books even if our invens are wiped.
