On this day, three new Petrine Knights have been named following a most unfortunate and unforeseen quest that was never intended to be thrust upon the trio. The Princess, Catherine of the Petra, Archduchess of Vallagne and Heir to the Commonwealth - guarded by Viscount Godric von Theonus’s retinue - was ambushed outside the Viscounty of Marignan by the infamous Order of Dead Men. An Ibleesian Cult that has been spreading chaos and destruction throughout the realm of man for some time now. Had the retinue of House Theonus not been close guarding, the Princess may have been sacrificed for the Order’s dark causes.

During the ambush, Princess Catherine was dragged from the roadside and taken by rowboat into the river caves behind the Barony of Celia'Tahn. There, the Order of Dead men began to attempt rituals on the young Princess, ‘gifting’ upon her a curse and scars. The trio, acting with haste, were able to procure a small vessel of their own to make chase upon her assailants. Trading attacks with the lesser Dead-Men, boat to boat. The trio were able to sink the underlings, and make their way to save the Princess. It is to be noted that the known darkstalker - Deadmund, seemed to be the leader of the cultists and upon seeing their underlings defeated, it ordered another known cultist - Detlev, who was holding Princess Catherine, to light the tree she had been chained to ablaze, both shortly after disappearing into the depths of the caves. Securing the Princess, the trio quickly brought her back to safety and had her wounds tended to, then returning her to the safety of Vallagne.

To the dead men (@Petsch2k), I say this: With men that host the fire of Owyn within their heart like these three heroes, your entouage stands no chance against the loyal forces of the Petra.

Unrelated to the valiant quest completed by the Theonus men, the Crown would also like to recognize a fourth addition to the Holy Order of the Petrine Laurel; George af Brasca is a born and bred Petran, one many of the Petran realm recognize as an emotional man, being known for his ever-changing expressions worn beneath his helmet. More than being known for his emotions, however, George is known for his commitment to the Commonwealth, being available as a leader within the city and the Riverguard - one every civilian can rely on.

FOR THEIR VALIANT ACTIONS

Sir Theoderic von Theonus ‘the Resilient’

Sir Aimo of Astor ‘the Illustrious’

The Baroness Viktoria finds pride in her husband and his doings. She had arrived on the tail-end of his knighting, as the Queen dubbed him, Sir George 'the Rotund' - and she beamed and drew forward once it had come to a close. Viktoria watched as her husband kissed their baby girl, and spoke of how proud she is of him!

Deathweaver, risen from the ashes, reads the missive with a chilling smile. His left eye, a brilliant yellow, seems to gleam malevolently from behind his bone mask. Adorned with a dark crown and cloaked in his hooded mantle, he absorbs the grim tidings. A sinister foreboding hangs in the air, and he embraces the ominous destiny that awaits.

Meanwhile, Deathweaver's spectral silhouette flickers ominously, hinting at a looming resurgence, while his crown and bone mask cast eerie shadows.
