In the realm of Haense, a tale unfolds,

Of a king renowned for tales untold.
Aleksandr, once crowned, but known for flight,
A monarch who left his men in the fight.

 

The King Who Fled, a name he bore,
Abandoning warriors on the battle's floor.
When shadows loomed and courage waned,
His fleeing steps left honour stained.

 

Yet, within this kingdom's tapestry,
Another figure emerged, bold and free.
Timofei Petrovich, a noble soul,
He chose a path that made him whole.

 

When Aleksandr's wife faced peril dire,
Captured in the Veletz vengeful fire,
Timofei stood with valour ablaze,
A knight who would not abandon, unfazed.

 

For love and honour, he drew his blade,
A duel fought for the queen betrayed.
The King Who Stayed, in courage arrayed,
He faced the fight, a debt to be paid.

 

Through steel and sweat, the conflict raged,
In the end, a new tale engaged.
Timofei triumphed, love's champion true,
The kingdom hailed him, and rightfully knew.

 

A shift in legacy, a King shamed,
No longer the monarch who fled, unnamed.
Timofei Petrovich, by honour swayed,
Became the king who stood and stayed.

For hours she sat there,

Worrying for her offspring,

For they were unaware,

Who was the Real King.

 

So it was that he came,

Pushing past the guard,

His seed was strong, not lame,

And had tussled with the Queen in the rearguard.

 

So he fought with might,

For he was the Queen’s true love,

Meanwhile the King slept at night,

Knowing his issue was not his own blood.

A fisherman read the poem with an intrigued smile, though in reality he would have never let himself lose. Not for his friend. Not for his. . . Well, perhaps there was more that drove the man than fish, but all that mattered to him was that his Queen was safe.

Moments after the duel's conclusion, the young squire volunteered to escort the foreign dignitary and her unlikely Hero back to their homelands. 

Treacherous as the thoughts may be she was pleased with the outcome of the duel and a sense of discomfort grew at the potential they may face on the field of battle again. Once the gates closed and nobody was left but the construct and her she spoke

Ivan Aleksandr made his way into the castle granary. He looked about, scouring every bottle and every sack of flour - What was this man's secret? How had the humble Master of the Pantry managed to defeat the Marshal of Veletz in single combat? 

 

The prince turned to his good friend, Sigmar of Baruch, a kindred spirit, desperate to uncover the fabled Petrovich Power Blend. "Herzen - Vy saw that orc today . . . Even in death he did niet stop his vile assault. And vy tell me his commander was felled by a baker?"

King Sugarfoot II went behind Sir Hendrik, the Lord Marshal who lost against the baker. The halfling would produce a knife, and would stab the man numerous times in the back, eventually watching the body of Sir Hendrik flop to his front. "This is for losing,"

He awakens from his dream, realising that he had not killed Sir Hendrik, and was actually tucked away in his small haybale bedroll. "Ah - what a dream."
