He wandered the roads. They came across a tree. A vast tree. The tree beckoned him forth- A sage within beckoned him forth. "What is evil?" The sage inquired. "What does it mean to witness evil? To partake in evil?" The sage inquired again. The monkey was stunned; their body fell to the floor. They had no words; their mind ran blank. They knew not what to speak; their tongue shut. The world reeled; they clamped both hands over their ears. "Correct." The sage responded. "Now all that is left-" The sage responded again. Pain. PAIN PAIN PAIN PAIN PAIN PAIN PAIN PAIN PAIN PAIN PAIN PAIN PAIN PAIN PAIN PAIN PAIN PAIN PAIN PAIN PAIN Their eyes were plucked; gone from their head. "Do you understand?" The sage inquired.
