Towards the end, the Viscountess offered a second-hand parchment found discarded upon the King's Road. As her weary eyes looked over that announcement, and its lack of invitation from their allies, her lips thinned. How easily the Haeseni were forgotten, the most faithful of the Canonist flock who had heeded the call of crusade and rallied in defense of the Church. But of course, that dour lady did not think it was forgetfulness that plagued the Adunian prince. Her hand traipsed over to a nearby stacking of richly-inked treaties, plucking from it the one bearing the familiar wax seal of Numendil's white star. The Lady Emissar was indeed correct that it was not forgetfulness by which the Adunian prince didn't invite Haense to his wedding, for he had a keen memory; keen enough to recall when Haense had not only failed to invite Numendil to its personal functions such as coronations or royal weddings, but also excluded from a meeting in Lesanov which was written therein as the Nations of Canondom. A guardsman complains of this to Antonius, but the prince shook his head and rebuked, "Come now, let's not be petty. You were with me at the baptism, and Ilia entered Valdev with me at the pilgrimage. They are a nice enough people, going about their ways- inclined against sheep as they may be" he jokes, offering a smile.
