Animii really aren't very bad. I do have some issues with their freeform capacity on the server right now, though.

 

People are currently making retriever sized flight capable ones. I think this should be squashed. All combat animii ought to be restricted to the ground with four limbs (especially given that limbs affect how many parts it has to break which artificially improves its durability). Perhaps half-sized variants could be made which can fly.

 

Furthermore, there should be some kind of tracked enforcement over getting them repaired. I've done rp to pass my animii around before I can even get ahold of the thing to repair, which has yielded times where I have had it available and times where it isn't. I havent had mine available fir a week or so+ now. This, theoretically, should be the downside. It's just that people don't roleplay it.

 

They are, however, relatively weak. People just don't know how to fight them.

I just wathced a crp with one of the flight capable animii pets and it was stated by a mod that st and their team agreed it can't fly, maybe gliding awfully, so that issue is fixed.

 

As of right now, every "summoner" magic has downsides built into them and how they operate their summons, and to the copers no necromancy is not overpowered it's actually kinda mid.

 

Animii and regular pets as they curently are do not have any of these downsides to the user, nor do regular combat pets. Sure, fighting them on paper isn't very hard as all you need to do is break the head, heart, or poke a hole and wait 5 emotes but the issue doesn't lie in this, it lies in the fact that one can have a completely independent entity from themself while they operate whatever their kit be which most of the time boils down to the melee tank knight class or something like that.

ST Documentation, enforced repairs, FA requirement, do not fix any of the issues this brings as none of these things enforce the player become a summoner class.

I am so so tired of people refusing to RP the fragile state of these pets, I had an encounter when a Zekul (hellhound) smashed one into a wall and then proceeded to be emoted as one tapping my Zekul, with no damage to its design at all. And the fact someone can just mass produce and not even require ST sign for a CRP pet is wack. Creating a summoner class fighter with no downside, as stated a peasent to a demon can use it.

If this gets accepted I hope there is a reforging method (or something) introduced for the folks that have T3 combat pets they are attached to and use them responsibly. 

Because it is one thing to buy one just to deal damage, its another to properly maintain one.
