no more animii pets

The easist solution would be would be to just restrict combat oriented pets to their crafter, which can be done with their Obediance Vessels. Otherwise, saying "No automaton combat pets" seems really redundant when again. Pit with other summons/ creations/ real life counterparts.

If the issue is just a surge of automaton pets, it be no different of a surge of beast sellers/shop owners saying they sell wolves/dogs/ BEARS. Simple solution is just restrict combat animii pets to Animii crafters.

I mean, Animii crafting is just a Feat, an exceedingly common one at that, heck even I have it (even if I've literally never used it for anything...). So expect the feat to get spammed to oblivion if that direction was ever taken.

 

And it goes without saying, but a  machine made from steel, that possesses no manner of fear or self-preservation instincts and that can follow and understand your commands perfectly...

 

Is VERY different from a freaking bear or wolf that is absolutely going to eat you alive if you forget to feed it a metric ton of food, which is made of squishy organic bits that feel pain and wish to not die as well as not being able to perfectly understand human language and commands other than extremely basic ones.

animii pets are based, i was a fan of them and was ok with them being used. But i've changed my mind.
The way CRP works currently, and the limitation of mounts and pets in general, animii pets should not be allowed.

 

They should be in another time, perhaps when CRP works and i win the lottery. +1

If it's not built into an MA with specific drawbacks to work with the fact that they have their little battle creatures it simply shouldn't be allowed, so better yet ban all of them unless built into something that requires a government signed document using some of your DMV points to keep access too

 

edit: making it FA only also doesn't really help since alchemy fa's are free and require no loss of DMV points

Delete them. I've said it too many times. If they're not even linked to the healthpool of their owner, why allow these things that bear literally no consequence to exist? (thanks wowj for making this)

Just delete any combat support creatures lol

 

if I can’t use my dog to bite you, necromancers shouldn’t have flesh golems.

 

(though animii pets being used in combat are kinda weak. Idk why people make them out to be powerful.)

Rewrite the lore for me then. Because Necromancers all have now are the two undead with them and that is it. They need a complete change to compasate the maybe lack of summons.

 

The automtons pets are strong because unlike necro summons which can be stunned for two turns. They are more simplistic and require less effort + you could be someone with a boomsteel weapon playing around it. To the point it makes you freely overwhelming in crp.

 

They are not strong because they can 1vs1 but for their cost and how easy someone can get/use them while being whoever.

I think necros can also equip special items to the summons too. But the whole "Stunned for two turns" can only be done once. and in certain situations that wont matter if there are just more then one necromancer.

Could make Combative pets work like Inventions, having to be ST signed and follow the 1 x week.. But again, this is following the fact these creatures. Regardless of them being immune to "Self preservation" they can just be Bonked with a hammer twice and they would be dead. Overall whilst I do think whomstever is mass producing them should prob face some sort of situation. This shouldnt end up like the Athins Incident when someone spammed the hell out of athin treated weapons to the point athins became useless.

Theres many ways it can be gone about without the whole "DuRRR NerF cuz Mi dOnT lIkE" Mentality that this server seems to go through time n time throughout the years. Again, can make em st signed (could prob make them actually Viable too), Make them locked combatively only to crafters (Cause Obediance Vessals). They have gear hearts, Break em or scrap em.  Make them unable to be soulbound and must be destroyed if done correctly (just disabling it wouldnt cut it. i mean total destroy). That or make T3's Dependent, whilst yea. Big automaton go BRR. It also means funny void mage #69 cant cast stuff or restrict them from being used, or suddenly alternatively such creatures by children to act like their the next big bag. Again, Automaton pets, independent or otherwise are much weaker then people portray. If the issue is actually the mass production, then treat that issue then trying to further yellowtape the whole thing.

Too much to read but ur an automaton pet user and if you can't kill summons in a 2 stun emote, nub any necro's fault but the situation's. Be less insecure in crp little man. You don't need 83838 potions and pets

Random Animal Summons and Animii Summons both suffer from the same issue of just being a +1 free action with absolutely 0 cost and downside. Life Evocation, Necromancy, Mystics, and Naztherak all carry multiple downsides, from being void weak to costing some tangible, finite resource to control and summon summons in CRP. They are not perfect and they can be better, but they are infinitely easier to balance and manage instead of the probably most widespread feat 2nd to alchemy which requires what, 3 emotes and some of the infinite mundane metals of the server to make a playersigned thing?

Ah yes, let me beat you to death with my purely Storage mech mount that has auto gatling crossbows. And not just, Use a good weapon. 🤷‍♂️. I just dont like seeing something simple to counter acting like its the next cancel culture smaller man. :3

This is a horrible take

 

A character with no restrictions including templars, drazi, kani, and any other melee powerhouse should be allowed to further bolster their capabilities because Necromancy full send relies on relatively mid summons?

 

Sure, get rid of all combat summons but if you're going to say delete things built into a magic system give me a printed rewrite for the magic so it's still usable as an antag magic
