[CA Amendment] Demi-Djinn: Party Hands Rewrite

There's a discord the players of the CA are in and I noticed that a lot of people kept asking me questions about a very particular spell because of how I worded it when I originally wrote it, so I'm offering out a rewrite for the spell that'll clearly define it's sub-abilities and what's combative and what isn't. There aren't any mechanical changes besides removing the exhaustion on the non-combative sub-ability which I've renamed to 'Matter' here. I added a redline too. This is because the old exhaustion system was 'as much as you can fit in a house' or 'a house itself' and I thought that was lame. It's a really stupid unit of measurement so since it's really just a harmless minecraft build spell or summoning a random item spell (not usable in combat btw) I'm just removing the limit straight up.

tl;dr: Party hands reads terribly so I'm really just rewriting it so people can understand it. Nothing changes except the non-combative exhaustion system bit.
Also if this gets accepted please replace 'Party Hands' with the name 'Mind Over Matter' in the tier progression part of the lore.

This may contain: an image of jesus surrounded by angels and demon like creatures, with hands in the air

OVERALL CHANGES:
 - PARTY HANDS REWRITTEN FOR EASY READING AND RENAMED TO 'MIND OVER MATTER'

- EXHAUSTION FOR MINECRAFT BUILDING 'MATTER' SUBABILITY REMOVED

- ADDED A REDLINE (LT LITERACY CHALLENGE FIGURE OUT WHICH ONE GOT ADDED)

OLD LORE:

Party Hands

[Non-Combat] / [Combat]
[2 Emote Charge, 1 Emote Cast; 3 Emote Spell]

A spell possible for conjuration is one that is rather unique in its peculiar flashiness - an ability that allows the Demi-Djinn to lighten the mood with décor and sublime performances. In these displays, the palms of their hands summon forth beams of dim vibrant light that furnishes or arranges alluring spectacles.

Within charging energy around their hands, their shackles collect forth a vibrant glow in the hue of the Demi-Djinn’s choosing. This glow moves down to their palms following their second charge- to which the final act allows the Demi-Djinn to deliver a beam of light that manifests into illusionary feats of fireworks and sparks - being able to light up the skies in their show. These displays are nothing but mirages however, and cannot be used to damage anything. If outside [20] blocks, the Mirage cannot be seen. If within [20] blocks, the Mirage is as clear as day, and looks indiscernible from reality. Their hands are not just for summoning illusions, but may also bathe a room in décor- surfacing a peasant’s room with noble silk or instantly furnishing an empty room with a clap of their hands. They may conjure anything that they can comprehend so long as it is not combative. The equivalent of conjuring a small house would result in the Demi-Djinn becoming drained of their stamina.

A Demi-Djinn may cast the spell on themselves or another object. In the case of themselves, they're able to become an object or mirage leaking their supposed mist, or any clear tell being that it's a Descendant bound to such, such as their body protruding out of the object. If the object is destroyed or chipped to a significant extent, they revert back to the form in which they casted in. For inanimate objects the Djinn can enchant an already-existing item to make it warp in appearance or action, although it still needs to retain the same base shape.

 - A mirage akin to something such as a firework cannot interact with the physical world.
- Decorations cannot be used in combat, only serving to translate roleplay into builds. A Djinn that has turned themselves into a decoration however may be used in combat, but obviously cannot wield themselves since they wouldn't be able to move.

 - Only one mirage at a time may be summoned.

- A Djinn cannot cast Party Hands on themselves to turn into something complex like a cannon or arbalest, unless it is for an event. A Djinn cannot man their own complex machinery.

- When shapeshifted with Party Hands into the form of a mount, the Djinn gains the speed of a mount in balance-default CRP.

NEW LORE (DEMI-DJINN):

Spoiler

Party Hands
[Non-Combat] / [Combat]
[2 Emote Charge, 1 Emote Cast; 3 Emote Spell]

This spell is one that practices all four of the types of magic that this creature of desire has mastery over. With but a breath, they are able to manipulate pre-existing materials or weave new ones into existence. They may choose whether to give it form, or manipulate its make.

From the power of the Wiseman that resides in their soul, a Demi-Djinn is able to conduct three different abilities. The use of Matter, the use of Mirages, and the use of Molding. After performing the necessary emotes, only one of these sub-abilities may be chosen to be used.

Matter - Unlike Mirages and Molding, this is something that a Djinn’s shackles do not allow them to use in combat. Rather, it allows them to weave forth new material from their mind. Overflowing their contractor’s halls with gems and pieces of gold, creating a kingdom in a single night for a rising monarch, or filling an empty table with a feast for a banquet; all this is possible with the power of desire. They may conjure anything they wish so long as it’s not combative. The equivalent of conjuring a 30x30 or something narratively similar would result in the Demi-Djinn becoming drained of their stamina.

Mirages - Illusions are a powerful thing, and aids in many ways for a creature such as this one. However, a mirage is only able to manipulate sight and hearing; these lesser illusions are not able to interact with the world as they have no true form. Once summoned, a Mirage is able to change its shape and form at will, but it has a limit. If within [20] blocks of a person’s sight, the Mirage is as clear as day, but otherwise it wouldn’t be able to be seen or heard by another, not even the Djinn themselves.

Molding - A Djinn is able to Mold their own forms and change it; they’re able to become an object or creature leaking their supposed mists, or any clear tell being that it’s themselves bound to such, such as their body protruding out of the object. If they turn into an organic creature such as a small squirrel or animal, if their form is damaged to any significant extent, they revert back to the form in which they casted in, with such damage not carrying over into their original forms. If having turned into a nonorganic thing such as a household object, it takes three strong hits that are enough to daze them in that form to kick them out of it. The form they embody must also make sense with how they act; a form wrought of steel or wood for example doesn't have a nervous system like a Descendant's body does; be able to speak. However, regardless of the form they're in, they'll still be able to feel pain. For inanimate objects, the Djinn can enchant an already-existing item to make it warp in appearance or even animate it so that it might move on its own, although it still needs to retain its base shape.

[REDLINES]
 - A Mirage akin to something such as a firework cannot interact with the physical world.
- Matter cannot be used in combat. A Djinn that has turned themselves into an object with Molding however may be used in combat, but obviously cannot wield themselves since they wouldn't be able to move.
 - Only one Mirage at a time may be summoned per three emotes.
- Matter is able to summon multiple things with one cast.
- A Djinn cannot cast Party Hands on themselves to turn into something complex like a cannon or arbalest, unless it is for an event. A Djinn cannot man their own complex machinery, nor can they turn into one of those examples pre-loaded.
- When shapeshifted with Party Hands into the form of a mount, the Djinn gains the speed of a mount in balance-default CRP.

 - Party Hands may not be cast on an item on another character’s person in combat without OOC consent.

- Matter and Molding cannot be used to create or manipulate an object to have the properties of special materials or event materials, only open materials and mundane things.

 - Items summoned with Matter that have a long-held effect on the narrative (build materials or items they use for custom items) would require a Minecraft item to represent it.

Compile Changelog:

- 'Mind Over Matter' renamed back to 'Party Hands' since the community and lore team told me they like that name better lol
- added a redline saying that the Matter and Molding subcategories cannot create ST materials and is limited to mundane and open materials

The equivalent of conjuring a 30x30 or something narratively similar would result in the Demi-Djinn becoming drained of their stamina. < added this revised build limit into the end of the Matter subcategory

-  added a redline that makes sure that the demi-djinns dont powergame and spawn stuff out of nowhere (they need an item for it)

- Molding is changed so that it changes how the Djinn reacts to pain while molded (they can actually feel it)
- Molding is changed so that if a Djinn is an organic object (like an animal) it follows the old party hands lore to kick them out of it  but if theyre hit three times in a nonorganic form (like a houselamp or smth) they get turned back too.

- Added the Cursed Djinn version of the spell since I forgot to do that (cursed djinn inherit the party hands spell even after they become one)

matter presumably would allow me to, say, make a bunch of iron sets, or a cannon, or whatever really, so long as this does not occur in combat. correct?

why do you need iron sets or a cannon when you can just make carbarum mansions

yeah but like, narratively. if you wanted to use Mind Over Matter [Matter Subability] to explain how a new nation's build appeared overnight you could do that. the iron sets could be like skins or something
