This will be either received in a dream or in-game when you view this post. This vision does NOT bestow enough information to infer the existence of Klones nor its processes, if unknown. Your mind shifts to an ever twisting cosm, the infinite yet claustrophobic space burrowing into your inner mind as a parasite. Any recess of isolation is torn apart as if to expose you to the ever expanding universe ahead. An ever shifting need to hurl surges through your body as your consciousness soars through this endless void, where the upheaval of your stomach struggles to render contents, for a body did not exist. Each moment clatters as the perspective of your mind shifts. An ever spinning expanse shifts about your form. Endless rummaging rattles your conscious as faint whispers, the ever guttural language, rampages through your mind. ∷ ᒷ ⋮ ᓵ ℸ ̣ ╎ 𝙹 リ Your eyes glaze as a sickening sensation overwhelms your throat, the constriction of its muscles felt as liquid suffocated every crevice. Your body heaves and splutters, and at last, you expel a strange liquid from your throat. The cobbled floor of a mysterious basement is splattered. Your muscles ache, and your eyes can hardly conjure an image of their surroundings. Various obscure carafes and funerary jars are strewn throughout the room, emblazened with mysterious sigils that denote their purpose. A deep and resounding heartbeat thumps within your chest, and within your head. Each slowed thud shatters your entire body as it twists and contorts. The voices again whisper, and you decipher a single word, before its incomprehensible utterances again sweep through your mind. ∷ ᒷ ᒲ 𝙹 ⍊ ᔑ ꖎ Another moment shifts your mind. Liberated from your crowned coil, you look towards the skies. Clouds obscure the sun as a bitter breeze pierces against your bare skin. You feel the warmth of another, a greater, that stands before you. The ever-changing expanse contorts as you settle upon the planes of a vacant land, where no hills nor mountain cut through the horizons - you feel solace. All that remained was an ever-expanse of grass and dirt that swayed against the breeze, dancing in tandem as your gaze peers towards the heavens. The skies part, and a great torrent of light smashes against the plains. The rays of the sun gently warm the grass as you raise your hands to crawl towards it. Fear. A lump in your throat builds as your body freezes in place, your joints contorting to a lock as the winds pick up. Your muscles desperately attempt to propel your body, but you collapse in prostration, where your form turns towards the heavens to witness the illumination of an ever-growing sun. Each moment feels as an eternity, as the light slowly washes over your body. The warmth that was once accepted gnaws into your skin as it is set ablaze, scorching in exposure to the heavens. Your skin cracks and shatters as flame gives way to ash, the pain overwhelming your senses. The sizzling and ruination of clay continues as your form slowly disintegrates. Those whispers that have evaded you before now find clarity as you are cast into oblivion. ALL OF FALSE NATURE, SHALL BE REJECTED Your consciousness surges from the enveloping flames, your skin tingling as you awake from the prophetic dream. The bite of the heavens was felt against your being, it aimed to reject something, to expel those who had perverted its nature. Do you embrace the Light, or hide from it? KLONE AMENDMENT - REDLINE AND COMPATIBILITY MODIFIED FROM "Klones work functionally in the same capacity that normal descendant bodies for lore interactions unless specified as otherwise." TO "Klones work near identically to that of normal descendant bodies, save for an adverse interaction with Aurum and Deific Magics. Given their profane nature, Aurum-inflicted wounds will render a searing and debilitating pain. Likewise, given a Klone's ability to cheat the Soul-Stream, those holding a Klone CA are incapable of holding a Deific Connection unless specifically specified." EXPLANATION For years now, Klones have been THE go to CA for anyone wishing to cheat death. Despite other means of pseudo-immortality being available (Transformative CAs or Machine Spirits), Klones have always prevailed in popularity due to their effectively null drawback and because they remained, for all intents and purposes, a descendant. Kloners also enjoy, practically, infinite lives by virtue of strategic amphora placements and can also retain Greater Mutations. Tawkin as a lorepiece is constantly described as an abhorrent taboo and heresy before the Gods within its own writing. Further, the ability to cheat the Soul Stream fundamentally negates the cost of Deific Magics - the Soul Claim. Why WOULD a Deity bestow their blessing onto someone if they would always evade and deny them their prize? The LT undertook an internal vote and discussion, and we have decided that Klones and Deific Connections will now be made incompatible. Further, Klone Bodies shall feel the searing sensation of Aurum when cut into them, given that their form is abominable. The Current Deific Magics affected by this change includes Templarism, Druidism, Shamanism, Ordained Heraldry [not Feat] and Naztherak [per Infernal Climb]. Palmreader and Seer are unaffected by this change given their intended mechanics and/or explicit permissions. This all said, the LT does understand that due to the prior mechanics, there have been many players who’ve become Klones and hold Deific Magics. Rather than forcing everyone to drop their Deific Magics, we are instead offering a REFUND POLICY for those players who have a Klone CA. REFUND POLICY Any player who wishes to retain their Deific Magic will be given the option to uptake a FRESH DESCENDANT BODY based upon their Healthiest Klone (absent Mutations). That is to say that if you are a 149 Year Old Human Klone, you may respawn as an 18 Year Old True-Human Descendant. This also applies to ANY KLONE who wants to opt out. As a tradeoff, however, you will be required to drop your Tawkin ENTIRELY, and suffer a total mindwipe akin to Blood Magic. You will forget about the existence of Klones, Juliet Potions, Homunculi, Mutations, Grafting, Etcetera unless informed about it again through actual RP and not your personal notes! While not forbidden to learn Tawkin again, if you are to learn about the process of Kloning you will be subject to a PK clause and if you try to become a Klone, your Deific Magic will be lost. To activate your refund, please make an SREQ to deny your Klone CA and your Tawkin CA ASAP. The ST will close this refund period on MONDAY, MARCH 17. Please do not cheese this to spam 3,000 Juliet’s Potions or bestow last minute Tawkin FAs to your friends (we may be subject to DENY the refund). Finish teaching existing students and have closure.
