Sun and Moon, Numendil and Burgundy. As the Lord set two lights in the Heavens, so too there were two Kingdoms of East and West. The Kingdom of God stretched from coast to coast. Cardinal Nerium reviewed the missive with an ecstatic glee, the divisions concocted by the Deceiver had at last been undone. A thousand-year peace would blanket the world, swaddled in preparation for the War in the Heavens.

Meracahe mourns the war campaign he yearned for. As the noblemen of Haense, battered and broken, forsook their true oaths to acquiesce to the bondage of foreign powers. Beneath the weight of the Holy League's forces, the so-called 'Kingdom of Hanseti-Ruska' fell within a mere three-years.

Upon discussing the matter with one of his traveling companions, the Dark Elf said: "I suppose I should be grateful that more lives are not needlessly thrown into the meat grinder. However, I feel robbed."

His companion appeared annoyed as their horses moved along the road. "Oh, shut up. It could have been another four battles and you'd never be satisfied. Be grateful you're still in one piece."

The short war had drawn itself to an end and now Meracahe returned to Caurost to resume his mundane daily life.
