CASUS BELLI

On the matter of Drusco and Avistra

 

The Margraviate of Drusco seeks to claim the western plains across the river from the Principality of Ivoria, which has now been settled and constructed by the Margraviate of Avistra. By the words of Drusco, they claim the rights and titles to the land, and that those of Ivoria are entitled only to the river-side half away from their mainlands.

T E R M S  O F  W A R

 

By the authority of His Imperial Majesty, the conflict and war between the Margraviate of Drusco and the Margraviate of Avistra has been sanctioned and authorised, held within the confines of either territory as listed below. 

 

 

✠ All battles shall be constricted to the imperial plains west of the capital city of Grense, consisting of both lands currently owned by: the Margraviate of Drusco & the Margraviate of Avistra; this also expands out towards the whole Principality of Ivoria. There is leeway for battles to occur in outside plains further from the drawn borders, but this must not impede on the territory of other landed vassals.

 

✠ Non-militants and civilians should not be attacked unless if they personally raise arms against either vassal states in the battle. A non-militant is considered any descendant that is not a soldier of the realm. However, this rule does not apply to: governing bodies of either vassal, and their reigning families.

 

✠ All prisoners-of-war must be treated with care and respect during their time in detention; they must be fed, provided the proper facilities, and no use of torture or otherwise should be employed. The execution of war-prisoners is not sanctioned unless the prisoner-of-war makes an attempt on another person's life to escape captivity. Prisoners may be ransomed at a reasonable price or fair exchange. 

 

✠ The use of magic is strictly forbidden even with a license, and will result in action from the imperial crownlands. 

 

✠ Assistance or aid from external forces and bannermen is strictly forbidden. The war is only sanctioned between either parties, and should: any other bannermen, nobility, vassals, or mercenaries interfere with the cause and matter-of-water between Drusco and Avistra, this will be actioned by the imperial crownlands. 

 

✠ Priests and children are not permitted to join the battle on either side. Priests can only support in humanitarian aid and mediation if necessary, but if neither party wishes to engage, this is solely a secular affair. 

 

Failure to adhere to the above will be actioned on behalf of both

the Imperial Guard & the Imperial Order of the Red Dragon.

 

 

W A R   G O A L S

 

DRUSCO | At the conclusion of the war, the Margraviate of Avistra will swear fealty to Roger de Rouen and become a vassal of Drusco, integrating their lands into Drusco. If not, the Margraviate of Avistra will move from their current lands which will be claimed by Drusco. 

 

AVISTRA | At the conclusion of the war, the Margraviate of Drusco will drop all claims to the Margraviate of Avistra, and pay reparations of 500 minas. 

 

T E R M S  O F  V I C T O R Y

 

The victor of the war is considered if: either side is to surrender at any point by means of writ, or if either vassal leader is captured and the opposing side fails a rescue attempt, thus concluding the war. 

 

The leaders of either side is considered to be:

Conflict is being self-moderated and is following custom war rules. This is staying on the main server until specified otherwise. 

Both parties have agreed mutually both in-roleplay and out-of-character to partake in the war and have requested moderation team to refrain from interference regarding raid cooldowns and etcetera without it being discussed by either of the above. This is a war in good-faith.

The Reiksmarshal breathed a sigh of relief as the crown confirmed the rules of the mutually agreed conflict between the two lords, hopefully it will mean less paperwork on his desk.
