It’s not like most people read this blurb so feel free to just skip down and ask whatever questions you want whilst I yap. I first applied to LotC exactly five years ago, which is somewhat crazy to think- though I didn’t really play much until only two years back, around June 2023. I was- and still am- younger than a vast majority of y’all here, having applied as a 12 year old (hey CT if you’re seeing this I totally applied when I was 13 mhm), and standing here as a 17 year old, surrounded by people who are far older than me, but hey- its a fun community and I genuinely enjoy LotC. :)

 

I remember very little about my earlier time on LotC when I just applied, though I do remember I was roped into Haelunor back then and met a few individuals- from some who I’ve since re-met recently, like Sacred, Mori, and Flemish, but also a myriad of others who’ve since moved onwards from this server. My memory of these days are faint, but what I do remember is being some idiot kid who ran from nation to nation asking where he could learn magic 50% of the times I roleplayed. I had a tendency to go on a lot of hiatuses back then, vanishing for months or even up to a year at a time- wherein I scarcely played much if at all. I remember coming back briefly in 2022, creating a character under the Kervallens, but then dipping away again.

 

There was a good one-year hiatus subsequently, as I spent a lot less time playing LotC and rather played on SMPs with friends, whilst spending a lot of time IRL working on the grindset for my FRC robotics team, which I was trying to lock in for at this time. I hopped on LotC on a whim around then, and was somehow suddenly pulled into it again- it kinda just enraptured me there in that moment, and I’ve been here since. A lot of people jest about how you can’t ever really leave LotC, and tbh I think that is somewhat true, from my observations of others and my own return back then- there's parts of this which can always pull you back into it if you’re exposed, or a curiosity to just check in every once in a while- you can ‘leave’, yes, but I think parts of you will always think back to the connections and interests you once had in the server in MOST cases.

 

When I returned in 2023, I was expecting to lose interest and fade away like I had numerous times before- but I think the biggest thing that prevented me from that was the groups I got into, and the friends I made within them. I remember it being late at night one day, whilst I found that you could parkour around the entrance to the azdrazi lair due to a mistake with the locks- and when I got inside, being caught by Qizu’s character and questioned. That small interaction- and the series of subsequent interactions that followed where I got into the nephilim community- is what I think made me want to stay here. The people I met subsequently, from Jentos, Fumi, Aehkaj, Kind, and the litany of others since were all people who genuinely made playing this server enjoyable fr. In the vast timespan since, I was pulled into Infernal roleplay through Leyd’s character, which has been a blast to do for about a year and a half now, and also got up to some shenanigans throughout Apotheosis’ span pertaining Mordring, which also was an immensely fun experience to roleplay with many groups which I hadn’t interacted with ever before.

 

I- for some reason- decided to apply for LT that same year and got in, and been there ever since. To be honest, even though the work is tedious at times, its quite enjoyable more often than not, and it has changed quite a lot of my viewpoints on this server (even tho nothing i write ever passes lol). Most of you probably know me as the guy who posts lore which always gets denied, which is true and valid (nothing ever passes). To be honest, I write for fun- I genuinely write loresubs bc they’re things which interest me to write about, and I don’t dislike any of the LT for denying them, as more often than not I write inane mechanics due to my relative noviceness in lorewriting so its very valid that shit I write gets denied.

 

Feel free to ask me anything you want, I’ll try to give a coherent response (or make fun of my denied lore too if you so wish lmfao), I think personally I may have some unconventional/interesting views on shit due to myself being in the overall younger ageblock of players on this server, and also from being on LT for almost two years now too. I am an ontologically evil individual whose sole purpose in life is intentionally vagueposting in response to lore questions, downvoting all lore submissions whom I hate the poster of, and ignoring the whims of the playerbase as I am the sole supreme individual who knows all and what is best.

Of all the characters I've played, the arc and progression of Izel (Uztrahmel/Raven/Elliott) has above all else been my most favorite one, and likely the character I've played the most on LotC. From going from the son of a blacksmith  to a herald-spy under Tor'Praeth, my time in the Valiant Seekers guild (the goats), and then eventually into a Nephilim and then going beyond that through a litany of other interactions, his progression I think was my most favorite, with his characterization slowly changing and shifting as I became better at not only roleplay, but also at exhibiting a character's growth and changes in mindset. Even still, I think the earlier end of his character was poorly portrayed, and I think a year or so from now I'll think what I'm currently roleplaying is also poorly portrayed or whatever, given that I still have a lot to improve. Regardless, Izel i think has had one of my most favorite character arcs in all.

I dislike void not bc of the lore itself, but of the playerbase. Voidal theoryposters and minmax CRP brainset has really turned me away from interacting with the void, but also I haven't really given it a try since the Hohkmat era so maybe (maybe) I'll give it another try eventually. Who knows. I lowk don't want to.

Uhhhhh the stereotypic answers are "Apotheosis" or "Mordring Eventline", but genuinely the most fun I've had was my first ever event i was a player in, under Whitewolf near the start of this map- it was a cavern expedition into a spider-infested cave which I went w/ my friends over a few nights, it was some of the most fun I've had chilling in VC at a hella late time of night (Valiant Seekers for life)

 

I'd go out on a limb to say the most favorite event was the recent Chromaweave finale, where Johann my absolute goat let me troll the drazi with carbarum bait, it was a 10/10 experience and I had so much fun doing that shit, would 100% do it again

About a year ago I was a big fan of the idea of runesmithing being brought back but in all honesty, its genuinely something which is really hard to fit into LotC nowadays. Runesmithing's lack of a coherent powersource that makes sense to be used plus its niche being currently really really hampered by blood magic makes it extremely difficult to pass, but who knows? Don't take my lore takes for anything bc my shit always gets denied lol

I am really really really really damn bad at playing multiple chars at once. I currently have like 4 different characters, and I cannot play all of them at once and its genuinely making me want to just PK some of my characters to be able to spend more time playing the other ones. Maybe one day I'll try a dwarf, I've been meaning to give both dwarves and orcs a shot eventually one day. one day...

Negligibly; nothing ever passes. One of my biggest faults when it comes to lorewriting is that I write stuff far too quickly and don't actually analyze it well enough and end up creating mistakes throughout. I think retrospectively, all past pallo writes have had faults in them which would actually have made the server worse if passed to some minor degree, which is why I think unless I actually lock in and write something GOOD, it won't actually be smth that benefits lotc.

Lore that interests me i guess is the abyss and its extensions, been talking a lot w/ cameron about its past and I just enjoy learning about it because it seems really cool tbh, however I don't want to do any shit like abyss knights (archaic pallo mistake of the past). Lore which I think could be better if I had a crack at it would be imo Necromancy, I have an idea of a form that I think would be far better than the current pageslop and wordslop that it is, but then again if like 50% of the playerbase wrote something up on their own whims it would almost certainly be better than Necromancy given that its a very low bar to supercede.

I'd say if anything, my current favorite "genre" would be that of the style of alt rock which Violent Vira does, which @albinauricgot me into (her songs are pretty fire, if yall havent listened to violent vira i highly recommend)

My favorite angry bird game is Angry Birds Rio, its an absolute masterpiece and is definitely the one I had the most fun playing as a kid. It's the only one I've 100%'d, and I think for good reason- every stage adds hella creative mechanics and theres literally so much gameplay content, I think over twice as much as the original Angry birds.

Fav sandwich would be lowk just a simple one with the basic stuff, except NO TOMATOES, i despise raw tomatoes for some reason which I genuinely don't know why.
