The Holy Empress of Man read the apostolic missive as it was laid upon the long table before her. As her gaze scanned across "EXCOMMUNICATION" and "MANDATE to RULE", she let out a cackle.

"The little gnome threatens the mandate of The Seven Skies as if it his to dispense. An Imp upon a borrowed chair presumes to command Man. Let it be known he shall not. Glory unto Canondom, and hellfire unto the True Faith."

“For such a…. little man to believe he has authority to speak on behalf of GOD?” Constantina laughed to herself, Goodness, doesn’t he know how this will end? The Lord decided His Imperial Majesty would rule from his birth. And our good Emperor will lead the true, full men to victory.”

"Were it that this Church had any semblance of legitimacy and spiritual authority, then assuredly, this would have been most grievous,"

Hummed one Sir Rudolf Barclay within the privacy of his own home, rambling to himself, as he was prone to on occasion,

"Though thankfully it has neither. Though I s'ppose tis up to the Chief of Chiefs whether or not he means to indulge in this all the same."

His final thoughts on the matter - before returning to his duties - at least a little bit more neutral.

"Eh, false faith or no, at least the Halfling has conviction. He deserves that acknowledgement, at the least."

Surion Arthalion shook his head. "Why did this priest come to Idunia and spit before my brother whilst acting representative of the Imperium? Why is the incident now being reflected in this manner? Is this some sort of premeditated political maneuver?" He muttered so privately, bereft of trust in that particular institution.

Maximilian Caius Horen laughed. "Do not squander my brother's fealty, to which you so desperately cling."
