Feorcs

I don't know if it is just me but most orcs are men. There has to be some feorcs somewhere. And most feorcs that are on already have life mates. So in my opinion we definitely need more feorcs. In the last couple of days there has been only two feorcs i have seen the entire time. If that was true our race should be dying off. It doesn't really make sense to me but we need more feorcs.

-Thanks

Well you see. When a guy orc and girl orc like each other. The female orc has about maybe 4 - 15 cubs per pregnancy. That's why we don't die off. Also, we are immortal, we don't have lifespans like humans. Orcs can only die by being brutally murdered. So take it in da face!

I believe the correct term is She-Orcs.

No sorry but we've coined the term feorc.

(( yes most of them are men. If you want more fe-orcs than play one. Also orcs are not monogamous so even though they have life mates they may still be your mate))

((While orcs are not all monogamous, feorcs generally are. A feorc with two male life-mates would not go well at all. We don't really worry about dying off, as we have large litters. We don't worry about a shortage of feorcs either, as the few we have our claimed and fought over by the most powerful orcs, usually war leaders. This ensures that our bloodline remains strong and our cubs are born of the finest stock. I remember back in the old days, when we had absolutely no feorcs for several months. We're doing pretty well right now considering our community is so small.))

(True but how many monogamous fe-orcs do you see?)

((Urara has two lifemates, what's wrong with that, Ned? That's what I thought. Additionally Feorcs IS a term. I know. I more or less brought the blah into widespread use on this server.

Lorewise there are more Feorcs than what are being played in game, however if you would like to see more Feorcs, roll a Feorc. Contribute to the solution!))

((Nothing wrong with a feorc having two male lifemates, just saying that it would likely be somewhat rare. Since life-mating is strongly motivated by the need to procreate and solidify one's clan strength, I would imagine most orc males would be possessive over their cub-bearing vessel, as they would want to secure those cubs for themselves and their own bloodline, not wait in line or risk losing their life-mate in child birth to some other orc's cubs. The sharing of life-mates among males would probably be a little more common among members of the same clan or brother-clan, as you'd still be strengthening your clan and helping a clan-brother out. Cross-clan sharing though, Lud would never consider that, not even with Lurs or those we are tight with. Gorkil lifemates are for bearing Gorkil cubs. So anyhow, not totally absurd, but there's a stubborn mentality against it for some.))

((In a situation where there are multiple males and one female, or even multiple females multiple males ect. all children are considered to be children of the entire lifemate parental. Meaning the child would simply view all of those involved in the lifemating process to be his blood mothers and fathers. No, it is not biologically possible, but the Orcs don't much care for biological technicalities anywhere in there culture. As far as they are concerned, all those involved in the lifemate pact are responsible for spitting you out, and you belong to whatever clan the lifemate parents belonged to, save that the lifemate parents are responsible for raising you through the first 5 years of life.))

((Good point. I guess I was overlooking the fact that life-mates generally take on the same clan title as one another, leaning towards the stronger, more dominant clan. If a Warlord married his feorc off to a member of another clan in order to strengthen ties, would she retain her father's clan name somehow in addition to her life-mates? Or drop it altogether and take on solely the clan name of her life-mate?))

((Whomever does the switching would likely take on a new name. If you sent a man to another clan, his name would change. If a female was sent over, her name would change. Strength rules all in orcish culture, regardless of gender. If you have this super powerful warrior (man or women) both could be used for strengthening ties.))
