A Message To All Druids.

Recommended Posts

To all Druids in the region, please stop and read this message.

Recently, we have suffered a number of crippling setbacks as an order, the loss of our new tree, the division of the circles, and the loss of some of our most notable members has caused our guild to falter. The Druids no longer have any great forests or monuments of nature that they call their own, merely half constructed hovels. We need to organize as an order, if the circles must remain seperate, then so be it, but if we wish for our order to continue, we must do the following:

-Begin to recruit Dedicants.

-Elect a Grand Druid

-Finish construction of both groves.

Regardless of your circle, these things should become all Druid's priorities. We must rebuild our order to its former spendor, even without our old leaders. Whatever happened to Delfyr, Darrian, and so many others continues to be a mystery to me, but we must go on, choosing new leaders and building new homes here. May our holdings be the things of awe to the people once more, and our numbers like leaves in an autem wind!

-Wolf Druid Ouity

I'm sorry for my absence I had... things come up. I guess there is a lot of news and events I have missed out on and hopefully one of you can fill me in on it all.

*sighs, remembering his time as a Druid, Pity overwhelms him. Second later, and a controllable rage fills him, remembering how he was treated like a child, never taken seriously*

Such a shame.

Ouity walks over to Evelyn, shaking his head a bit sadly

We have made almost no progress, we must be down to less than a dozen Druids, and the circles have little to no communication with eachother. The only time I have actually seen anyone from the other circle is when I sent a message of distress during a bandit attack. We need a Grand Druid now, and we need dedicants now, to fill the holes left by our fallen and missing, and to reinitiate communication between the circles.

Other circles?

*looks away from the sign to the congregation of Druids who have gathered around it*

The Druids have been through a time of great trial, and even as we start with new circles we will always hold strong as an Order.

I feel heartache every day for creating the rift, but even as my heart mourns I feel that this is a new direction for our order. We will follow the Will of the Aspects, instead of making our own rules. No longer will we look down on our brothers, and stand high on our ranks as if kings.

We stand together now, looking towards the future. My friends, we shall prevail.

As noble as such a statement is, Arik, and no matter how much I am inclined to agree with what you suggest, we need rank to maintain our order. We are mortals, and need physical guidence as well as spiritual. I hold by my statement. For our order to continue, we need a direction to take, and leaders to follow. An order that sits still is an order that falls apart. The group must stay in motion, if not building our homes, then inducting new members, and helping nature flourish.

And indeed, Evelyn, Arik has broken away from the origional circle, and created his own, which is why we must have a Grand Druid.

Indeed-ranks are important. But there is no point to our lives if we fancy ourselves above our fellow Druids based on these ranks. These ranks help us further our Order, and should we grow comfortable and lazy we can easily be corrupted by them.

The Druids of the Cernunnos Circle are more than happy and willing to assist and elect the Grand Druid, indeed. The Circles will work together and bring the Order to greater heights than ever before. As we stand in the Age of Schisms, yes, but we can move forward into a new age, an age where we will together serve the Aspects.

*inclines his head, and sighs, leaning on his staff*

I split the Order for many reasons. If you wish to know them, I can share them....It was no selfish act, and not one I did lightly. Shall you listen?

*looks between all the speakers seeming rather lost*

I think someone will have to fill me in thoroughly about all that has passed when we meet at the grove.

* Rusen stands close to his higher up, Arik, listening to his wise words with a nod, still a fresh dedicant, but trying to understand, trying to learn of the divide. He nods his head in agreement with every word Arik speaks, wanting to add his own but keeping still, the paper in his pocket ruffling, wanting to be written on, Rusen sighs heavily, not wanting to see such confrontation, but learning all he can from it.*

Ouity nods slowly

I would like to hear your reasoning, Arik. I at least owe you the opprotunity to speak, after you saved my family's life...

Ouity's eyes unfocus slightly, then snap back, his momentary lapse lost

I also believe that we should arrange a date for the two circles to come togeather in meeting, to discuss promotions of Druids, the election of the Grand Druid, and general guidlines for both circles.

Evelyn, you may wish to listen to what he has to say, it will explain a great deal to you.

Darrian passed on in Aegis, brother. I thought you knew this?

I'm afraid I've been out of the loop for quite some time, I hardly know who is alive or dead after that battle... From what I gather, a good chunk of our order stands here now, it is a sad day for me, I'm sure we can all remember when Druids were as numerous as the sand on a beach, yet no longer, it seems.

*Nods slowly, and sighs, leaning against the noticeboard and observing the gathering of Druids.*

Since joining the Druids I have observed many Arch Druids growing easily corrupted and comfortable in their position; Indeed, many of the druids sank from our sacred traditions into a corrupt age of anger and bloodlust. As wars began raging in Aegis our Order began slaughtering people in the name of "Artifacts"...-PAH-

*Spits on the ground*

And ordering others of lower rank around like dogs. As we arrived in Asulon, they turned on their own and, calling a Moot between themselves decided to remove Arch Druid Delfyr from the Order totally, taking it upon themselves to ignore the Traditions laid down by our forefathers known as "The Challenge". They, in their corrupt power knew that they as well would be issued the challenge and thus attempted to remove him altogether.

They were afraid, that if they lost the challenge they would lose their title as Arch Druid. This was the final straw.

You see...Some ten years ago now when we first arrived in Asulon, The Spirit Druid, known as Saviticus came to me. He spoke of a dream from the Aspects, and their displeasure at our structure, and activity. This prophecy stated that the Order needed to be reformed, needed to return to the Old ways, of multiple circles and teaching those around them.

So when the Arch Druids removed Delfyr I knew instantly that the time to fulfill this prophecy had come. I'd spent many years growing out the Swamp of Song, and in that time I'd found a cavern beneath it that was leagues long and wide across; I knew it would be a fitting place for a grove. So I approached Delfyr, and together we approached Jameson and John, and Saviticus. It was then decided, that we would split apart, to pursue the true interests of the Order.

*Rubs his head lightly*

Thus is the reason of our reform.

Ouity nods slowly, taking in the information

I see why you did what you did, brother, and frankly agree with it, however this corruption must be fixed on both ends. A group of bandits told me a great number of Druids were corrupt, and hinted at evil doings. With your confirmation, I have become even more wary, and can only hope must of these were killed in the battle.
