Why are you/your character starting this town? What role will it play?

The rotten cancer of war ravages the realm of Asulon like a plague. The relentless drive of thousands of soldiers steals the lives of many brave men, women, and children alike for every day that passes. The arrogance of their tyrant leaders is matched only by the brutality of their soldiers. Sick of all this, sick of people not caring for others, but only for their own greed, power and land, we have decided to create a isolationist city-state that focuses on economic and peaceful living. As an isolated place, the powerful few works together to direct their society.

Besieged and surrounded by at all times by enemies, the members of the Island live in constant struggle to survive and has therefore developed an instinctive distrust and suspicion of anyone who is not a member of the city-state. On the other hand, the experiences of that harsh lifestyle has hardened themselves into a proud and hard working people to favor those of value.

Any settlement within line of sight will be viewed as a threat and will remain under careful watch. However, even though we have trouble trusting others we are still a civil people, and will be willing to work out a peaceful solutions with nations that wish to settle near the Island.

What type of political system is enforced in this town? Is this town under the reign of any other nation at this time?

The town will have a Oligarchy system. A council will exist, consisting of 4 members that will lead the town with a Chairman, head of the council. Together the council members will help to supervise the town and advise the head who makes the final choices.

However the council members do not need the allowance from the head when it is about:

The economic system is very different than others. The payment is done through gold, minas is very rare, but are still being used. All trade resides with the gold, even outsiders need to trade with it. Although gold is expensive to buy with minas inside the town, being almost the only thing you can buy with minas, the usage of gold inside it, makes the trade quite cheap.

What sort of behavior will residents exhibit? (Race relations, nation relations, etc.)

The Island is the land of the free, so people can behave and do whatever they chooses, providing they do not endanger nor harm any other persons or the Island with their actions. For all who live on the Island freedom is truly theirs. To live on the Island is a privilege and for that you have to fight to keep it, defend it with your heart and sword when someone aims to take away the freedom which the people have deserved. Freedom is what we still have on this Island, but we fear our rights are being eroded by the outside world and we have to be vigilant.

All races are accepted into the Island. The citizens of Silva Insula are already a mixed group of races, however since it is very close to the human nations, humans are much more common than any other races. Elves, dwarves and even a kha residences in the town so far. No orcs has yet to reach the place.

The town is very unique place that has its own economy system as well as a small, but tight community which will increase the chance of having more fun with others and more rp. The town works for itself and does not rely on any other nation or group. Those who live on the Island are all independent workers or just living in peace, they do not have to work, but they receive payment for it.

We do not have either yet. However, we are right now collecting the required 50,000 Minas for the town charter. Every member is doing their best to gather minas in their own way and so far we been able to gather a large amount of minas already. I would expect that the town has the right amount of minas within just a couple of days. We'll modreq it as soon as we are done.

Also, I got more good news. The town Silva Insula, Forest Island has payed the required 50,000 Minas and has been accepted. We have protection on the Island as well as several new spots for new members.

We have added a graveyard protection, because it's the cheapest. Next one should be the inn or perhaps the farm.

New building keep raising, as new members keep joining. A very nice tree has been born because of Killeki and a very good looking house by Caelvin has been made.
