The Arcane Delvers

((I'm going to assume that is an OOC post. Firstly I would like to point out that Polgrath is in theory the illusion teacher for the Mage's Guild, though in practice that amounts to little as he hasn't taught anyone there. The Delvers are I believe associated in some way shape or form. However, there are a few things which would certainly make unification impossible. The most glaring of those being that if the Mage's Order knew precisely what Kalenz or Polgrath do they would almost certainly be classified as Rogue Mages. Additionally I know from Kalenz' perspective one of the main things that kept him from the guild is "A mage will try to maintain balance in the world" and "A mage will not be affiliated with any group" which would never work out for him.))

To friend Artimec, the trials are a nigh deadly process and if ye so wish... perhaps I shall allow ye to begin them. This is doubtful to occur until we arrive at the new promised island.

*A letter is sent to the Arcane Delvers*

 

Greetings Arcane Delvers, and whoever holds this letter.

 

I am Elmech Rune ((Todd877)), a newly started adventurer. I will not go into detail here, but I am a human of no affiliation. I have found that my lives passion is to explore the many mysterious and powerful enchanted weapons that are scattered throughout the many races. While I don't have any magic of my own, I respect those who wield this mysterious force. Since I am so far alone is this venture, I seek like minded people who would support this study. You may ask why I wouldn't join the Robed Librarians. I simply do not believe in the pacifist views. If I have do defend myself I plan to do so with extreme prejudice. I will not be below force to achieve my goals either. I recognize however that force is best applied only in certain areas and people.

 

But I am at a loss on what to apply for exactly. While I may not be a magic user, I'm also not exclusively a swordsman  I wish to study the magic and, if circumstances either force or allow, to use the artifacts I study. How would I fit into your organization?

Kalenz strolls into the Delver Hold, a strange look of determination on his face. He calls into each room where the shields and mages lie sleeping "Awake Delvers! Awake!", slowly the delvers begin to file out. They all look to the high elf in derision, irritated he roused them from their sleep.

 

"Polgrath and I are not the most morally upright of mages, yet we are not quite rogue. Those who harass and use their magic for dark plots however are. It is he who has attempted to harm me twice now who we must rise to hunt. He who claimed to be a delver himself, who dares speak to Polgrath and I as equals."

 

Kalenz takes a shaky breath before announcing loudly "We will find Goliath Orman and put an end to his little conjuring tirade. Hunted he shall be! Those who betray us and attack my home will pay dearly..."

 

Kalenz descends and looks to Polgrath "This must be done, I can not permit him to betray both the Delvers and to attack the mali'aheral... Others will be informed of this mage's little habit. Perhaps the Mage's Order will be interested."

*High Mageshield Huwel stands rubbing his eyes tiredly from lack of sleep. His uniform looks rather sloppy and he begins untangling the cloak*  

 

"Wow, you seem pissed with this guy, What he do, steal your drink?" *he chuckles amused at his own joke. "Either way, Im sure we can hurt him a little"
