I know a thread like this was already made, but I would like a better answer then, "15 spells are being made," if you have more information. Sorry Sue. But I have some questions:

First of all, when are these spells coming out? The magic update is either tonight or tomorrow, but on the wiki, nothing is added for the Ascended or the Undead. The Ascended really need more offensive spells then a fire aoe that extinguishes. I think a good way to change this spell up is to make the fire extinguish after about 10 seconds, instead of the short 2.

Also, are the 15 spells that you're talking about (Sue) the ones you mentioned in the Magic thread? Because from what I know, Golden Hoes will remain the only magic casting item, leaving out all of your spells except one tier.

I also have a couple spells we should obviously have. Lightning. First of all, Lightning comes from the sky, is made of light, and creates light. Yet the darkest beings in Aegis get to use it? We should at least be able to use it.

We should also have a water/air blast similar to the Undeads fire spell.

So finally, when are these new spells going to take effect? As far as I know, they aren't coming tonight or tomorrow.... So when? I know you probably don't have any solid answers, but the Ascended are really in need of a good magic array.

Lightning is also some of the most devestating and deadly. Dosent really sound to much like an one of your spells

The magic is being worked on, not sure when it will be released. What I can tell you is that the Ascended will have DEVASTATING spells and be smiliar to a high dps/carry character from DOTA.

Here are MY (not the developers) ideas for spells:

Ascended Magic (Team Carry/ High DPS)

Stone Hoe

Barrier- Creates a 4x4 glass wall (indestructible for 30 seconds)

Rage of the Aengul- Lights a 3 x 3 area on fire for 1 second, extinguishes then replaces the ground with grass (check not air or player made blocks)

Blink- A blink that requires more mana for longer jumps mana = (blocks - 10) x 10.

Iron Hoe

Purify- Instantly deals three hearts of damage to an Undead or heals another player (not ascended) for 1.5 hearts

Aengul’s Tear- Encompasses a player in a 3 x 3 glass cube filled with water. The player is in the cube long enough to take 2 hearts of drowning damage

Tomb of the Aengul’s- Encases a player in obsidian for 15 seconds(cast on a player not in air)

Gold Hoe

Aengul’s Wings- tosses a player (or ascended) up in the air dealing up to 3 hearts of fall damage

Call of the Aengul- Grants players in a nearby area +50 to swords and axe stats (moralizing call the Ascended use when the arrive in battle)

Fallen Aengul- Calls a meteorite to strike the earth (tnt block) (long casting time) (damage resets after one minute)

Diamond Hoe

Starfury- aoe attack that can only be used at night that deals .5 hearts per 15 seconds for a minute(does up to 4 hearts of damage) (spawned mobs)

Spear of the Aengul- Deals 6 hearts of damage in a line (direction the player is facing) (ULTIMATE)

I think too many glitches would happen with Tomb of the Aenguls and Aenguls tear. A person might move at the right time and get stuck inside the block, taking glitched damage. And we obviously have Rage of the Aengul, without the grass. I think it should stay this way because what if you do it in a town or a persons house... They'll have to replace the block. Just keep Rage of the Aengul as it is.

And like I said before, Golden Hoes are the only staff right now (as far as I know), but I guess it could change so the Ascended could have the power if they wield it.

Why not a AOE healing spell?

Like

Heart of the Aengul - AOE heal 5 blocks - 3 hearts

(is upgradeable-high teirs)

becasue its against what the Ascended stand for, if you want I can make a giant post about our magic, and our role in battles.

I am so glad I'm seeing something about this finally. I'm sorry I ever rushed someone for answers.

Here is an idea that I thought might be cool, as it would help tracking the baddies during the thick of the war.

-Servant of the Aengul (sends a "Steve" Skin down and starts hunting for Undead, and if it finds one, attacks it with the power of an iron sword, once)

Ascended NEED at least one spell that teleports them to A mojor city ((Close enough to attack/defend from undead.

Since the Undead have a spell that they can summon zombies and such, shouldnt you have a spell that can summon good creatures? Pigs and cows? Or wolves that are hostile to the zombies or Undead. Just a idea.

*Edit*- The wolves can all disappear after 2 minutes or so. It can say something like, " The faithful wolves return to Haven, where they guard the sages" or something like that.

Were you serious about spawning pigs and cows? All they would be good at would be buffering damage and annoying undead at their fort XD

That WAS a joke, right?

secondly, wolf spawn is reserved for orcs.

Maybe..

[Aeriel's Spirit]

Imbues an ascended with the holy forces of aeriel, causing them to become immune to magical attacks and attacks by mobs.
