Wait, so if I were to raid malinor with 3 other orcs and one of these people decided to no rp kill someone would the whole group be banned since we did it as a group even though one person got banned? Or if someone went to arethor with his friend and his friend decided to spam vulgar language would this instance still occur? Because from my understanding only 1 or 2 of the 10 people who got banned actually screamed or yelled.

In-game and TS are different, in-game your character would be there in roleplay - or so we hope.

TS is completely OOC and there is no room for wiggling - as for those who didn't scream, giving a "troll" an audience only fuels the action. If you didn't know what you were getting yourself into when you joined the channel - blame the ones' who led you there blindly & be patient when it comes to receiving a verdict

Now that that's settled, the other main reason I even questioned the legitimacy of these bans is because most of these players identified themselves as apart of Flay, and respiren even said on the GM Q&A that respiren wanted to systematically ban all the flays for BS reasons, tons of players and other GMs heard this statement

Edit: just wanted to point out, that I personally have no quarrel with respiren and consider him to be quite an unbiased GM, however this statement set me off

First of all, I don't remember DB hosting a raid, and I don't remember DB ever using TS. They are not so foolish to discuss matters on a public server, especially when THEY'RE the ones who get meta'd on a daily basis.

And notice how Respiren called us Skype metagamers because he witness some random crap on TS regarding the DB.

Am I the only one who noticed an inconsistency?

I only noted that they, to my knowledge, metagame through a skype channel - they were originally organized via OOC means [ my first day of RP on the server was with DA ]

That wasn't exactly the worst slander in that thread, conceived as a personal attack on myself - or a misrepresentation.

I said I would quite happily see their too frequent, poorly RP'd incitement / raiding gone from LotC.- I am not against raiding per se - only against constant, pointless raiding done for it's own sake.

As for the bans - though they are presented as baseless - they are not. The ban reports are available and the bans reasonable.

You guys need to trust GM's more rather than the stories of trolls who are only interested in retaliation - this happens every time. -.-

I get the feeling a lot of the time that people make inflammatory comments just to get my attention, especially by implying I do things for no reason / or without basis.

It's a little offensive and undermines my ability to GM, please stop - just ask. The drama is unnecessary.

Offensive? Let's dial it back a bit. I remember I was banned for a GM mishap, a GM thought I posted a virus link on the forums, which i did not, and banned me for it. No questions asked. I appealed, and talked to Respiren on TS, and he made me apologize for my actions. Really? I had proof that I never did post the virus, and I was made to apologize for causing Respiren and whatever the other GM was trouble. Absolute bullshit.

How is my ban reason trolling? I was banned for saying in private tells to coastercam0 that serenity has "prooblemmmms"

What i said isnt trolling, first off, so don't say im banned for trolling.

Now respiren accepted my ban appeal, but now refuses to unban me, when talking to him over TS, he froze up for a good five to 10 minuites before giving me his new reason for keeping me banned, that reason is "Abusing the Skill System"

I asked for proof, he goes offtopic about how he wants to start taking VA's away, i remind him hes off topic and he leaves the chat, please, where is my reason, and look at my stats, don't accuse me without proof/evidence, i should be unbanned as of four days ago.

Seems to me like making a Ban Appeal explaining your point and apologizing for any grief you may or may not have caused by actions that could or could not have been your fault, would have been a lot easier than demanding proof, individual explanations, lashing out with blind hate at those who have banned you, or following simple rumors. I do not know everything that happened in this situation, but this is just my two cents: If a police officer tells you to stop doing something, and they are revoking your drivers license, you go to court, state your case, and get it back. You do not post inflammatory remarks on that police officers Facebook wall, and tell all the other police officers that Policeman Respiren is a big meany.
