Rebuild Karik, but keep the separate holds. When everyone tries to live together everyone seems to build a new city. Then abandon it.

Fix Khaz, fix Karik. Then when someone wants to start up yet another settlement, they can go and live in one of the abandoned ones.

But first, region out and then wipe the mobs from Karik and Khaz.

I'd rather enjoy it if the officials of the dwarves don't allow other colonies. Dwarves stay packed together, they don't separate.

Good idea. Too bad we already wrote it down ;)

I agree, and once again just my opinions, you could have separate housing districts, and have people to apply to run a district of karik rather than go make an outside town. Give them control of a blank district for them to make their own style houses etc(of course within karik lore). That way you have the leadership(mayors) and then you have all these district owners(assistants) that control their little slice of karik. Also that way district owners will fight to be more active to get more people in their district to up the value of their homes. So if a new recruit comes into karik and only one district owner is on he gets the recruit. Turns competitive in a positive way. Just an idea.

EDIT-

Example being split the town up into districts and let the clans control them. Therefore giving everyone who runs a town or hold now their own slice of karik. Pretty much make many towns in one town, just smaller and less deadspace.

I'd like to know what sources you have to back up this information. It would seem that in Dnd, LOTR, and even Warhammer (although my knowledge of Warhammer is limited), Dwarves stick together. But LOTC is none of these. Yes we draw from many of these fantasy realms but we are not them. I've been here for a long time and I have seen the Dwarves united in one area and under one banner a couple of times. The first month on this server we all lived together (once we managed to find the Kal'Urguan). But it didn't take long for the Dwarves to start splitting up.

I'd love to see all the Dwarves together. I think we are stronger together. I just don't see it working. Our track record for it sucks. If you would like me to go find all the examples of our failed attempts to unify our race I will, but the list isn't a short one. Right now Dwarves are not a race that do well under one banner, and in one city. The topic of repopulating Karik has been discussed at length by the clan leaders. Plans have been set in motion, but I am skeptical of it working, and I don't think that we can say that Dwarves are a race that doesn't separate because all the proof is to the contrary.

That being said we do not have to continue following how we have historically been. Under the correct leadership we could all come together again and live together like how many of us seem to want to live.

A more "offical" and rply post will be made on our return to Karik. :P Just once the building is finished and Gulroid returns from his vacation.

Off topic but I thought I'd clarify: I'm moving from home to college --> 4 states away.

So until I get my internet up and running I'll only have access to forums on my phone. I should be up and running again by Sunday night/ Monday.

Theor. . .You joined August 17th. . . Of 2012. . . We never lived in karik in that time frame. >_>

Anyways. For everyone asking, Me and Hiebe are the ones building. I ask that any of you refrain from any IC info about this as there is only 2 people that know about the building. Me. And hiebe. You will find out really soon on what is going on. As of now, No one is allowed into karik as the entrance as been blocked off.
