Song Druid 1486 Share Posted October 16, 2012 I do hope the DDoS stops with the new server. I've faith in the new programming team and the Admins to do the best thing for our server. And if something happens that we cannot counter, Cyndikate, then there is nothing we can do and we certainly shouldn't blame or rudely criticize GMs who volunteer time for our server anyway. Much better than me, despite spending a good 20 hours on this that I could have spent elsewhere. I'm sure my years of programming and sysadmin experience pale compared to yours. So please. Cyndikate 2303 Share Posted October 17, 2012 I can't help.but.express strong concerns here. The server's been attacked for months. Avalier and Vaq tried many methods to mitigate it, but to no avail. I'm afraid that switching hosts may not work either. I'm worried that even after we switch, we'll still be attacked. Like I said, if nothing is done about this, the server will die. I talked to Avalier about finding the culprit, and he said he already knows who was attacking us. He never told me what he plans to do about it. Judging by how long the server's been attacked, it's easy to conclude that this may be the most powerful attack this server has experienced. I think the best option right now is to find the culprit and take swift justice on him. If it's that minecraft server, then I can and will make sure they wished they never messed with LOTC. And I dont mean through ddos. Whoever's doing this should not be allowed to get away with this.
