Please feel free to give feedback/criticism, this is just one of likely many ideas for a halloweeny event.

Event Planners, MC Names:Viros, Tehlulu, Taufirewarrior (Shassy O' Kais), Orha0

Event Type: Spooky. Halloweeny? Maybe.

Event Date:24th-31st o' October

Factions/Nations effected by the event: Everyone who has someone go missing.

Event Location: Throughout Asulon, with the event culminating at a twisted Keep full of monsters and traps somewhere either in Asulon or elsewhere.

Summary: (For actual written lore, see below in the spoiler.)

When Iblees first fought the Brothers and his minions wreaked havoc upon the Brother's descendants, one Aengul worked with the mortals to try and drive back Iblees' Undead scourge. He was stricken down by Iblees himself, his comrades, warriors, and loved ones slain, and he trapped within an Obelisk for eternity.

Over a thousand years after Iblees' fall, something has caused the Aengul's imprisonment to weaken and ultimately break. Free from the obelisk, but tainted and twisted from his time within it, the Aengul resurrects his fallen Keep and takes up residence within.

With his comrades and loved ones, from all of the Four races, gone, he sends his Knights out to "retrieve" them, not knowing they have long since passed. Any who stand against the Aengul's warriors are assumed by He to be worshippers and pawns of Iblees.

Individuals will OOCly volunteer for their characters to "go missing", captured by the Aengul's warriors and taken to his Keep. (Their characters will be out of commission for a while, so its strongly recommended to have an alt account or character.) The Aengul's Warriors, event team members, will strike at random locations throughout Asulon, and if they run into one of the people who volunteered for their character to go missing, will mistake them for one of the long-dead comrades or loved ones of the Aengul, and capture them.

Ultimately it will culminate in a series of sieges on the Aengul's keep, which will be full of traps, beasts, puzzles and ghouls. Hopefully there can be multiple sieges on the Keep so everyone can participate, with different groups going to rescue their friends or family who were taken. Each group will get a chance to interact in RP with the Aengul, and depending on people's reactions or what they do, there are multiple endings to the story, such as the Aengul realizing he was twisted from his time within the Obelisk, or voluntarily entrapping himself back within it, or a group of individuals trapping him within it to stop him, or the Aengul simply fleeing to perhaps re-appear at a later time.

Other Information:

In the early days of Aegis and all other lands, the Aenguls and Daemons would oft walk amongst the mortal races unabated, happy to interact on an almost equal level. There are tales abound which tell of Aenguls or Daemons who stayed amongst the mortals, falling in love and forming families of mixed blood, as well as those whom simply stayed among the mortals for less emotional reasons.

It was during this time that one Aengul in particular roamed amongst the mortal races, visiting the descendants of each Brother in turn and gifting unto them his knowledge of the sword and shield, teaching them not how to attack or kill, but rather how to defend against and disable an opponent. He was a being of peace, protection, and solace. Though he gave his name to few, he became known amongst the sons and daughters of the Brothers as a Guardian or Protector, who taught others to do as much the same.

When Iblees showed his true might and the thirty year war between he and the brothers ensued, when his minions ran rampant throughout the lands, most of the Aenguls were called back out of the mortal realms, for reasons unknown. This Aengul, however, chose to stay amongst the mortals. Wise enough to know he could not defeat Iblees himself, he was brave enough to believe he could help protect the innocent children of the Brothers from Iblees’ minions. He established a magnificent Keep, of adamantine, silver, and ivory. In it he housed the many mortals whom he had come to Well trained warriors, healers, cleric, farmers and blacksmiths alike all lived together within this Keep, and over the next two decades they struck out like a lance against the undead scourge of minions whom Iblees had summoned to do his bidding.

Many mortals were lost, and with each one, the Aengul grieved for their death. As the years went on he became further attached to each member of his group, every man and woman whom answered to him or respected him, or in some cases, loved him. But it was he and his men who made the most impact in the ranks of Iblees’ minions, and it was this which ultimately drew the fallen Daemon’s ire...

In the 22nd year of Iblees rain of chaos, madness, suffering and death upon the mortal races, a regiment of Iblees’ minions and worshippers lead a deadly assault upon the Aengul’s keep. It was the dead of night when they arrived, and scarcely had the watchmen seen the terrors approaching had he been struck through the neck with an arrow aflame, his crumpled body falling backwards off of the wall, into the gardens below. His blood was the first to stain the lands, but not the last.

Iblees siege of undead and cursed beings swarmed the Keep, breaking through the outer wall with ease. The Aengul’s warriors were rallied to him and he lead the fight valiantly, though as the horde pressed harder they were forced to retreat inside the Keep. They shut the large gate and locked it tight, beginning to tend to the wounded and reform their ranks for a counter attack. But as they did so, the Aengul froze where he stood, overlooking his mortal allies, as a curious shiver made its way up his spine. Slowly he turned to face the gates as a great rumbling overtook them and the rest of the Keep, a sickening, black miasma beginning to fill the area.

Then HE entered the hall.

Iblees.

His aspect was great and terrible; he shone with dread gray light of the VOID and the air trembled at his presence. So abhorrent was he that what remained of the Aengul’s warriors withered to dry husks at his approach. The precious adamantine gates, which had weathered the battle for hours, rusted to an ephemeral wind. The silver locks fell to the ground, tarnished. He trod upon them.

The Aengul stepped from the dais and drew his sword, its blessed light rivaling Iblees’ dread aura. For a moment there was hope.

Iblees laughed.

The sword was gone, and there was silence.

The floor of the hall was stained with blood, although in place of corpses there were merely ashes interspersed with a few blackened bones. The silken tapestries which had depicted the triumph of good over evil were not only stained with soot, but defaced so as to depict Iblees victorious above all. The throne of gold and silver was utterly destroyed, and the jewels which had adorned it peaked out of the ashes, their luster perverted by unholy light.

Worst of all, however, was the place where the Aengul had stood so nobly just moments ago. In his place there was a great black obelisk, shimmering in the light of dying embers. The magnificent spires of the keep lay about it, blasted and misshapen. As Iblees left the hall his broad shoulders struck down the few remaining walls, eliciting a deep and loathsome laugh. His minions followed after him, loyally participating in the destruction by skewering each other.

The sun set that night on an empty hall. The reflection of the moon could have been seen in the obelisk, if anyone had remained to watch. Below the shimmering lunar icon, the shade of the Aengul screamed silently and beat on the polished mirror of the obelisk from the inside.

The remains of the Keep sat like a grave, the obelisk buried within, for hundreds of years. No mortals came upon the lands for a long time, and when they did, they died out within a few hundred years. It would be several hundred more years before the modern mortal races would reach Asulon, fleeing the tainted lands of Aegis.

It was then that the Aengul began to stir, and the obelisk began to crack. Perhaps it was Iblees will, or one of his few remaining worshippers. Or perhaps just the wandering-bys of a few mages, whom ultimately awoke the Aengul.

But when he awoke, he had been long since driven mad by his confinement; No longer the Guardian, nor the Protector he once was. To rise from the Obelisk and see his Keep in ruins such as it was, with his warriors, comrades, and loved ones no where to be found, he could only assume, correctly, that it was the work of Iblees. But what he did not know was that Iblees had long since been trapped himself, that his warriors, comrades, and loved ones had long since been killed, and that over a thousand years had passed since his fall.

Twisted and driven mad by his time inside the obelisk, the Aengul pulled from his vast powers to reconstruct his fallen Keep, though no longer of pristine white and silver, it had taken on a twisted look to reflect the Aengul's mind. His real warriors long since gone, he summoned ethereal shades to take their place, and as they took form before him, he slowly seated himself on his obsidian throne. In a cracked voice he spoke his orders: "Bring...me...those...lossssstt..."

Do you need the Event Team's assistance?:Lord yes.

If so, do you require actors and/or builders?:Both. This Event will need a very large Keep built somewhere with traps, puzzles, monsters, mazes, and etc, hopefully to be used multiple times by multiple groups seeking to rescue their lost friends. (So that everyone in different timezones gets a chance to experience the Event, rather than just the people online at the time.)

It will also need actors who can roleplay as the Aengul's warriors, sent out to retrieve his "lost" comrades and family members, as well as maybe a few spirits of the Aengul's dead friends for people to interact with in roleplay in the Keep, when they go to rescue their friends. That way the Aengul's story can be told by the spirits of the dead in roleplay, rather than the truth only ever being known in OOC.

This event has been denied due to inactivity and the loss of Asulon. If you are still interested in your proposal for 2.5 or 3.0, feel free to re-post it again with updated information.
