OOC:A well over due thankyou.

My fellow Orcs, I make this post to address a rather serious matter.

About 2 months ago, (we) the Orcs hired the intrepid society to rebuild our Orcish city. The deal was that they would build our city, and we would pay them approximately 200,000 Minas. They worked for a solid month or two coming up with designs concepts and the planning of this city with the co-operation of our Rex then, Havenok.

When the time came and they finished, we planned to pay them through means of diamond blocks. Almost every clan at that time donated a sum to pay off this fee, however it was not paid in full. We probably contributed roughly between 75,000 to 100,000 mina to the intrepid society we planned to give them more later once we accumulated amounts from each major clan, however some where stubborn and refused to contribute as much as they should have. Havenok was then banned and things became a mess as the orcs scrambled for a new leader due to the OOC conflicting with our RP, and paying the rest of the intrepid society was almost forgotten. Apparently havenok had told Senda that we were most likely not going to pay them in full- Due to an assumption made by him and perhaps him not pushing enough IC to pay off this debt.

However this was not the case, and I planned to pay Senda in full and I had the diamonds put away in a chest reserved for the rest of the payment. However regularly I would do /seen Senda to see if he was online so I could contact him on this matter, and I saw it had said something like.

"Player Senda: Last seen 15 days ago."

So I had assumed he quit, however I saw him on the build server the other day and asked him about this and he informed me of what Havenok told him and said that this was one of the reasons why there group quit the server! I was saddened by this, and in no way did the orcs mean to "Pull a fast one" on the intrepid society. However, due to the fact that the server was hacked and everything was lost I was unable to pay him this amount obviously. He asked instead that I make this thread for the orcish community to express there appreciation for the work the Intrepid Society did for us.

So overall, Intrepid Society, I Austinpowers999 and the rest of the Orc community wish to thank you for your work and we are terribly sorry for the troubles we caused you. Since this is a In-Character problem also I hope our two groups can meet on the 3.0 map to discuss some sort of settlement to come to terms with this debt, as it would break my own character along with that of my fellow orcs to dishonor the agreement our two groups came too, I would like every one who owns an orc character to post on this thread to just give a simple "Thanks" to Senda and his crew to let them know we are grateful that they bestowed there building skills onto us and built us a city that we can RP in. I would also appreciate if no one trolled this post.

I cannot say how incredibly appreciative I am for the orcish city in Asulon. It was amazing and I cannot wait to see what you can do more. I am too very sorry that we couldn't pay off the debt. I hope we meet in 3.0

Having not seen very much of the Orc city, due to the sheer size and detail of it, along with not having much time to play LotC, let alone my goblin character, I still must appreciate its beauty. Thanks, guys!

I was on a shaman pilgrimage during these months but the city looks amazing and was far better than anything we could have pulled off ourselves. I would hate for you guys to feel slighted and if there's any way for us to make things right, old, fat Ned Lud'Gorkil will crawl out of retirement and lend a hand. We still owe you guys big-time. The orcs have just been through some tough times over the past few months with players coming and going and most everyone sort've burnt out and distracted.

I realize with the new map and economy wipe there's not much we can do now, but if there's ever a way to cheese some form of payment down the road and make amends, I'd be down with that.

Yes, this was partly my fault and I take full responsibility. I tried to get all the clans together to contribute and pay their fair share, but unfortunately I was rebanned and unable to get on the server to communicate ICly between everyone. I was also told that Mogroka had a big portion of the money, but I was misled and wasted a lot of time trying to get that money to help pay for the city.

Once again, I'd like to apologize to Senda and the Intrepid Society. I hope this does not strain our relations; you guys did a great job working on our city and all we can do now is just champion the work you've put into it.

Thank you for taking the time and effort to show to us that what happened was a mistake founded in simple miscommunication and benign neglect.

Hearing your praise and genuine admiration of our effort to construct your city is ultimately worth more to us then any amount of diamonds, as our goal when constructing anything for LotC is, has been and always shall be: To provide good-looking structures that promote active RP.

We would like to collectively shake all of your hands, treat this entire situation as being in the past and move on towards the bright new adventures that will await us in 3.0!
