The Bearded Elf Steps Down

Greetings friends,

I regret to inform you that I will be stepping down as Lead Developer. I was invited to join this server in April, 2011 by Availer. I was asked to create the Elven capital and was one of the Five original developers.

I'm stepping down for many reasons and I will explain a few of those reasons below, for transparency.

Outside of LoTC, I'm a 23 year old young adult. I've got no car, no money and still live with my parents.

After recent controversy and stress, I feel much of my respect and opinion have been tarnished and/or undervalued.

In order for LoTC to once again have the up-most respect for the GM/Admin team I feel that it is best I relieve myself of my title.

I wasn't the best Lead Developer I could be and I thank those who respected me anyway.

Below, is what is next for me.

LoTC at it's core, is cooperative-roleplay.

A place where those who dream of a whimsical, enchanting realm where individuals may participate in storytelling and theater.

Due to the duties & stress that come with being a "lead developer" I have either lost sight, or been unable to correctly perpetuate this ideal of curtsey and roleplay.

I aim to stay on LoTC as a player, and contribute as one.

( Please, make the most of this. I am not leaving the server, I'm doing what's best for me and I hope you understand. )

Thank you for reading.

I really, really hope you'll reconsider. There are few people who could keep this server together and running in the same way you do. If not then I guess we have to move on and appreciate all that you've done.

You did good work here, Shift. Your contributions to the server and the community have not and will not go unnoticed. In my book, you'll always be a welcome member and should you ever decide you'd like to return to the staff, you'll definitely have my support.
