After reading through the first post carefully, I agree with the majority of the new legislation. However, one point that stands out to me is the abolition of brothels and prostitution. I can see no difference between prostitution RP and a normal FTB aside from the monetary transaction. It may be illegal in many countries/states, but so is murder, a far more heinous crime that is permitted on the server. Can the reasons for this ban on prostitution please be stated to clarify this?

This decision has been made, stop whining about it and focus on the RP side of it. If your RP is so stale and unimpressive that you can only RP extremely sexual or graphically violent situations, then you could do with a change in RP style anyway.

Now stop making demands that you've no right to. The Admin team exists to make the decisions, not you, or the community, because the community frankly does not have the ability to handle such difficult decisions. The facts laid bare before you, what we had to do or what we could have done, and still you make a public nuisance of yourself with flippant posts like this. So please, stop complaining and help us work together to improve RP rather than coming off as some self-entitled RPer who can't do anything other than what we've listed as against the rules.

I didn't say that I had. I am aware however, and most people who have encountered them in the past would agree - Geoboy and Knox are the two goriest roleplayers we currently have - and they don't breach the point that we're capping it at.

Some of them are fine, like the nerco and pedo stuff, but violance and referances to sex are a bit over doing it in my opinion. Also I really do think as long as the scenes are fade to black playing as a prostitute should be fine honestly it seems like we are turning into a server for younger and younger people which cuts a lot of options for rp in my opinion.

As has been said in the topic leading up to this, there are alternatives to outright ruling out these types of systems. Like making it a rule to specify to ask all role-players what they're comfortable with in terms of writing, what you did is parented those of us who are under-age, and over age, when you yourselves are allowing room to grow.

Alright so with violence we an basically continue doing exactly what were doing? Sounds good... But Samoblivion makes a good point regarding prostitution. Although I never even rp that sort of thing I really don't see the harm in FTBing for money. Describing anything isn't allowed in the first place so it seems like more of an uneasiness with the whole concept that would bar it.

Though I understand the implications and reasons for both the rule changes and additions, I would like to put in what quite a few others have said. Why do we not simply put a warning on front page that these things may, and are going to, occur on the server and that the staff and server in general are not responsible for said neglect. This coupled with the fact that I believe I am going to need a riot shield to block the torrent of status updates that are bound to follow this wonderful server shattering piece of epic overly spammed drama.

I have noted that no character currently breaches these laws, as stated by Danny. In which case, much un-needed stress can be gotten rid of by just removing the violence thing from the main post.

Did you know our server became dangerously close to being shut down earlier this year if a player hadn't decided not to telephone authorities about certain staff members conduct with minors? Not going into specifics, but they could have easily had us shut down or sued us. This protects the server we all know and love.
